Halloween

I have run 26.2 miles. I have climbed a 14,ooo foot peak, 4 times! I am a member of the 100 pound bench press club at the Pump House Gym. And now I have survived another Halloween, complete with parties and Trick-or-treating. It was exhausting, comparable with many of these other mentioned feats. Clif and I are zombies. We gave all we had to give tonight. Here are our memories.

By the way, I'll share one of Emory's favorite Halloween jokes with you. What is a ghosts favorite thing to eat for lunch? Boo-loney!!!!

We even wore out Noah, our trick-or-treat buddy for 3 years running!

A Tale from the Pumpkin Patch

On Friday, the we went with Lulu and Papa John to the Pumpkin Patch. Here is the photo story that depicts the journey to find the perfect pumpkin for each kid. Miles, I count 8,961 pumpkins. Let's get to work!

Outta my way!

Miles, bring that wheelbarrow over here and lift this pumpkin for me.
Never mind, this just isn't the one.

Break time!

This is it! I have always wanted an albino pumpkin!

Now, this is a MAN's pumpkin.

The End.

Hand-Me-Downs

Aunt Sue in Virginia sent Lauren's dance costumes here for Emory to use for dress-up play. I feel like we no longer need Christmas and birthday gifts for Emory, she is in heaven! She put on every one of them last night and performed a fashion show for us. Then, this morning when she woke up, she dressed up in them again! Thanks Sue and Lauren, you have made this little girl very happy!

OBSESSED!

Miles is out of control. He lives for the Disney movie, "CARS". The wakes up and says "keen" for Lightning McQueen. We walk by the TV or computer and he says "Cars, Cars!" He has one of his cars in his hands all day. The great part of this obsession is that it takes very little to entertain him. A couple of those cars can keep him busy for hours. He is also fond of colors, his favorite is yellow. He shouts "Yellow" each time we pass a bus. It is so fun to watch him wake up and notice the world around him!

Weekend Storybook

Miles and I had the best time in Colorado this weekend. Thanks to John and Anne for their AWESOME hospitality and their help with Miles. I also needed BJs help every step of the way, and she was a great help with Miles. I am so glad I got to spend this time with Miles alone. We are even better buds now than ever, and I got to see a new side of him. He is a different guy without his big sister around. Here are some of my favorite pictures from our trip.

Miles got invited to sit in the cockpit. He was a little confused.

Carrying my luggage in the airport

Boulder Creek

Rock Climbing with BJ

Taking Goggy for a stroll

A mildly dramatic event on Pearl Street. Miles threw himself in slow motion in protest.

Elk-a-plenty in Estes

Bible Point Summit
John and Stacey, the happy couple
Miles and Emory, together at last!! (Do they have the same smile or what???)
