We're Going On A Bear Hunt!

The other day the boys wanted to make a "cave" with all of our couch cushions. We spent the next hour going through the house acting out the book "We're Going on a Bear Hunt." Every time we got to the cave part Logan would hide in the cave and pretend he was the bear! So much fun!

Our masterpiece cave!

This is another one of Logan's inventions. Why not make a boat with all the couch cushions?!:)

Birthday Boy!

Yesterday we celebrated Nathan's 2nd Birthday!! My baby boy is entering the world of "Toddlerhood." He is turning into such a little man. We had a fun BBQ with family for his party. He was showered with presents and lots of love and affection! He got a battery powered 4-wheeler from Grandma Hendrickson, and Remote-Control train from Grandma Thomas, and a slide from mom & dad...oh ya...and some Diego Dinosaurs from Logan. It was better than Christmas!!! He had a fun day. I'm not sure who was more excited...mom....or Logan!:) We decorated the kitchen with a sign, streamers, and balloons. He also got a yummy Thomas the Train cake! What a Celebration!!! Happy Birthday Nay Nay! We LOVE You!

I survived!

Well...It was a long week, but I survived another year of Girls Camp! Here are a few pictures to prove it! We had a wonderful time and it was so nice to be able to spend some time in nature. I missed my boys like crazy and am glad to be back into the "normal" swing of things! Thank you to some wonderful grandma's and aunts who helped Adam keep the boys under control while I was gone! We love and appreciate you soooo much!

Blast from the past!

I almost forgot one important thing. I had my 10-year High School Reunion this past weekend! RHS Class of 1998.....Go Wildcats! It was fun to see everyone and catch up with a few old friends. I can't believe it has been 10 years already! Sometimes I wonder if I look as old as I feel!:) I guess what I have gained in weight....I have also gained in maturity.....right?! See those three little girls in that picture...ya....they're all grown up now and the youngest leaves home this Fall! Wow mom and dad...you're almost empty nesters!!

Rodeo Round-Up and July 4 Fun!

We have had a busy couple weeks, and I have been playing "blog catch-up" for a few days! Here is a run-down of the past week!

Lehi's Rodeo Round-Up Celebration was the last week of June! We attended two parades. There was a miniature float parade which all the wards have a themed miniature float, and then on Saturday was the big parade. The boys had so much fun catching candy! I even made them cute little festive bags to put their treats in.

Then of course there was the annual "children's parade" in Richfield on the 3rd. I like to call it a "bike, wagon, stroller" show. Just a bunch of crazy kids...and parents....riding down main street on bikes, strollers, and wagons. The kids seem to really like it though...and hey...there are popcicles after! Can't beat that!

And of course we couldn't miss the big parade in Richfield. Grandma Thomas had cute t-shirts made for the boys with their names ont he back. They loved all the candy!!

We also enjoyed many fun festivities at Grandpa Hendricksons. 4-wheeling was a favorite! Grandpa also has a horse walker that he turned into a merry-go-round type swing set. Nathan loved it. Every time we turned it off he would say "on, on." The bounce house was also a huge success!

At grandma Thomas' aunt Kallie turned a tarp into a huge slip-n-slide! What fun!

And what a would a vacation be without a family photo and Nathan's usual "happy face!"

We had a fabulous weekend, and I was even able to forget about my girls camp planning for a few days! Adam recouped from his Kidney Stone, and all is well!

Don't swallow rocks!

I'm not sure how much detail to give of this picture. This is Adam with the boys on one of his "sick days." Adam had his first encounter with a kidney stone a couple weeks ago. After 3 ER visits, Morphine drips, Torodol shots, and many percocet pills, the tiny little stone had not moved an inch after 2 weeks! We ended up finding a Dr. that would knock him out and take the stupid little thing out! It was a same-day surgery and Adam is feeling much better now. Hopefully we can avoid any more of these. I never realized how much help Adam is to me! Ok..so I realized it all along...I just took it forgranted!

This is my newest and most favorite toy! It's actually not a toy...it is to store toys. We got it from IKEA and I love it!! The bins slide out and you can have any combination of them you like. There is also room for storage on top! It is very sturdy...and I didn't even get the heavy-duty pine one! It is so easy and quick to put the toys away now!

Summer Fun!

Here we are near mid-July. I can't believe how fast the summer is going. Since Father's day we have had lots of fun playing outside. This is Nathan riding Logans "old" bike. Logan actually came and told us he wanted to learn how to ride his bike (he's never really tried before). He was so quick that I didn't get a photo of him. But Nathan love's riding this one...even though he can't reach the pedals yet!

This is "mom's chair" in the back yard. Nathan needed a little rest from all the water fun!
Logan tries so hard to slip-n-slide. He loves to throw all the balls into the swimming pool.

This is what I do while the boys are playing. No...not actually take a nap...just read a good book! This is one of my favorites....it is short and sweet...and gives me much needed encouragement!
We decided to take the boys bowling the other day. Logan had been talking about it for a while. He absolutely loved it...and was quite the natural! He not only bowled his game, but dad's game, Nathan's game, and then two more of his own.

Nathan didn't have much interest in trying to bowl, but he enjoyed himself anyway!
The look on Logan's face here is priceless! Minus the major tantrum when we had to leave, we all had a "ball"!
