I just love this kid!

He makes me laugh every day.
He carries on great conversations.
He always says I'm sorry.
He is not afraid to talk to complete strangers at the park.
Everyone is his friend.
He likes to explore.
He likes to go shopping with me...even for shoes!
He has so much personality!
He's perfectly content wearing last years halloween costume.
He asks why? and how? about everything.
He is a very logical thinker.

For these...and many many more reasons....I love and adore this little man!

Ghosts of Halloweens past!

Ok...I'll admit I'm one of those freakishly early halloween costume shoppers. But hey...I don't want to be left with the walmart reject costumes the day before Halloween. I decided to do a "Logan's costume picks" re-cap of the past 3 years. (he saw me get the Halloween box out and wanted to try his old costumes on!)

Exhibit A: "Pablo" from the Back Yardigans. Costume was actually pretty stinkin' cute...especially since he was only 2 1/2 while wearing it!

Exhibit B: I'm not sure he'll forgive me when he's older for ever letting him pick this one. "Rooney Doodle" from the Doodlebops. I'm not sure if that show is even on anymore. Adam was mortified, but he was pretty adorable. Still ok...because he was only 3 at the time!

Exhibit C: Last but not least, "Manny" from Handy Manny. Not a bad choice for a 4-year-old boy. Logan does have dark brown hair and knows some Spanish after all.

Does there seem to be a recurring theme here?...I know you're probably thinking..."wow..he watches a lot of t.v." The truth is..we always have to pick costumes that don't require any face painting or any article of clothing that would be uncomfortable! No worries for this year though...we've already got it all figured out....Ahrrr Matey!!!(sp?)

p.s. Nathan just wants to be the same red dragon he was last year...I tried and tried to get him to pick something new, but he just wouldn't. It may be a little tight, but he's ok with that!

Love this time of year!

Yum....

...and more yum!

Findings

Who wouldn't want to find this on their back patio when arriving home from out-of-town? Can't tell what it is.....

.....look closer!! EEEK! Yup...no worries...it's dead!

All I could say when finding one of these in my cup is, "money money money money!!"

Family Reunion

For Labor Day weekend we traveled to Richfield for the Hendrickson Family Reunion. The boys had a blast! I mean what kid wouldn't love a mini carnival complete with games, face painting, tickets, and prizes! And of course the loved Blow-Up Slide! I didn't get many pictures cause my awesome camera battery died, but it was tons of fun! Thanks to all the fam who made it so much fun! We love you all!!

Logan was able to pause for a few minutes to enjoy some cookies and chips!

I think this was the best game...turn the duckie over and see how many tickets you win!!

This is how Nathan fell asleep that night...with his hand in his prize bag reaching for popcorn!

Loving Soccer!

Logan is still loving Soccer! Thanks to his coach for taking the time to teach these kids the basics of soccer!

I had to get some "action" shots.

First day of school do-over!

I must have missed this pic on my last post...this is Logan on his first day just outside the school.

And...since I wasn't prepared the first day of school...I got the "bus" shot on his second day of school. He looks so small climbing off those steps!

Logan seems to enjoy riding the bus home....but still makes me walk him up to the front door when going to school!

ps...does anyone know if they are showing the Obama video at Meadow on the 8th?...I think I just might keep Logan home that day!
