Picnic in the Mountains
We LOVE to go up to Usery Pass to hike, play on the playground, and have a picnic. This last time we went was fun because we climbed a mountain! (a small one, but it was big to the gals). They did such a good job and were so proud of themselves. Here are some pictures of the excursion.
Everything is SO GREEN since it rained so much this winter. (Green for AZ, that is)

1. What time did you get up this morning? 2:30 am (for Hudson) and 7 am (for the gals)
2. Diamonds or pearls? Diamonds
3. What was the last movie you saw? In the theaters, this is embarrassing, The Prestige. We just watched "It happened one night" via netflicks a few nights ago. We've become big fans of netflicks.
4. Where is the most beautiful place you've ever been? Hands down Havasu Falls. . . . second place would be muir woods. I wish I could say some place exotic.
5. What do you usually have for breakfast? A freakin HUGE bowl of oatmeal. It lasts me all morning
6. What is your middle name? Ann
7. What food do you dislike? Mayonnaise, any fish, EGGS
8. What is your favorite CD? I LOVE the ONCE soundtrack. I'm still stuck on it
9. What kind of car do you drive? A White Honda Odyssey. Thanks to my parents. . .we are trading for now.
10. Favorite sandwich? I Love a good vegetarian sandwich. Paradise Bakery makes a good one. This place in Scottsdale called Green makes fabulous veggie sandwiches.
11. What characteristics do you despise? Pretentiousness. (i'm in the wrong major for that!)
12. Favorite item of clothing? I don't like clothes right now. I should rephrase that. I LOVE clothes. I don't like how my body fits them right now.
13. If you could go anywhere in the world for a vacation where would it be? Proabably Italy since I've never been.
14. What color is your bathroom? One is white, one is tan and purple.
15. Favorite brand of clothing? I LOVE banana republic and J crew.

17. What was your most memorable birthday? Probably going out on the boat in high school with all my friends.

29. Do you like your job? Yes! It is amazing the range of emotions that come with my job

31. What is a day on the calendar you are looking forward to? Saturdays are by far my favorite

AZ in February
We are loving the weather here in AZ, it has been beautiful the past few weeks. I wish it would stay like this ALL the time. Rain here and there, sunny, warm (but not hot) days. . . alas, it will end soon, when the ninety degree days sneak in upon us next month. But until it does, we will be outside as much as possible! The gals LOVE to be outside, here are some of our recent excursions in the backyard.

Rolling over and (almost) grabbing
Hudson is 3 1/2 months (although he looks about 6 months, at least) and growing everyday. Some of his favorite things are his sisters, (he can watch them for hours in baby time) rattles, (especially his octopus one) his swing, sitting on daddy's lap, and of course, eating. He is a good sleeper and usually sleeps from 8 till 4 or 5. He is getting more accepting of his car seat. . . he has HATED it ever since he was a few weeks old, but he seems to have decided to give it a chance. He rolled over 3 times the other day, from his stomach to his back, and he can grab things occasionally after batting furiously at them. His smile is the cutest thing ever, it is impossible to not laugh when he does it, which is often. I am so in love with him, I am so glad we decided to have another. . I think we still want a few more. . .but not just yet. I have to enjoy my Hudson first!

Perfect!
I just got this in the mail yesterday, I was so excited. I LOVE it. I have been looking for some sort of jewelry that has my kids names on it without being cheesy or overly mommy-looking for some time now. I finally found JUST what I'd been looking for when I came across this necklace at http://lisaleonard.blogspot.com/. Lisa makes beautiful, unique jewelry and I wish I could buy it all. Happy Birthday, Mom!
My Mom's birthday is tomorrow, just 3 days after my Dad's! I am so lucky to have such good parents. I often get asked, "How do you handle 3 young kids?!" And the answer is, my Mom! She helps me out TREMENDOUSLY, I am so blessed to have her close by. If it were not for her, I wouldn't be able to go back to school, because she watches my kids while I'm gone. She is always so willing to help, and never makes me feel like it is a burden or that I ask too much. Growing up, I always remember that she made time for me everyday. I have so many good memories of my mom: laughing super hard at silly things, going on "girls day outs", and going for walks together. She always made me feel like I could do anything, and encouraged me in my goals. I admire her strength during adversity and willingness to serve others. My girls (and guy) are lucky to have a role model like her in their lives.

Happy Birthday Dad!
Today is my Dad's birthday, I couldn't have asked for a better guy to be my dad. He is the most patient, understanding, hard-working and good man I've ever known. Some of my best memories of my dad include the outdoors. He has taken me hiking and camping so many times and I feel he helped instill the love I have for nature and being outdoors. He also has always had such an unwavering faith that I always have found strength in. Now that I have my own children, I can see how much hard work and selflessness goes into being a parent. It is amazing, I am so grateful that I had and still have such a good example to emulate.
