We spent the majority of our time down by the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. There were numerous things to look at there while we waited for things to open.

Basilica Cistern
The Basilica Cistern is the only thing we actually went into. It is from the 6th century and lies underground. It is the largest one left and was a giant holding tank for water. It was really neat to see.
Istanbul
The kids and I had a 6 hour layover in Instanbul. We arrived at 7am and decided to head out and see as much as we could. It is a beautiful city. The kids LOVED all the animals. There are dogs and cats everywhere for them to love on. We were able to see everything around the Blue Mosque and did some shopping at the Grand Bazaar. It was a short trip but we plan to go back.
Heading Back!
Here are a few photos from our trip out of Saudi. The photos from the air are over Greenland. It was a clear day and great views!
