I know I am bad, I have waited two weeks before posting Waylon turning 7 months old. It has been a very fun and crazy summer. It seems like we have had something going on every day and weekend. I will post more about the summer festivities later.
Waylon is the best baby ever.... We seem to keep falling more and more in love with him every day. He is really starting to develop his personality. He is so sweet and loving. He smiles so big at everyone he sees and melts everyone heart. Nathan has taught him to give high fives and shake hands it is so funny to see. He was really starting to army crawl a month or so ago and he has just stopped. He loves to roll and it seems to get him anywhere he wants to go. He has a blanket full of toys but his favorite seems to be the tv stand and dvd player... He is starting to stand up really well. We got him a play table and he loves to stand by it and play with all the toys. He is trying to pull up and always wants to be on the go. He LOVES his Dad. They are having the best time together this summer while Nathan is off. Nathan is taking such good care of him and they have formed an even tighter bond. Nathan can get him to laugh like no other and it is the sweetest sound to me. Waylon is eating 6 times a day 5-6 oz a time. He is eating breakfast that is oatmeal and a fruit. He loves his breakfast. He will also eat his veggies for dinner. He has had green beans, peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, and avocados... He loves all food and will hardly turn anything down. Waylon is very vocal at times, he loves to sing and blabber... We are trying to teach him words but he has not caught on yet. We moved him into his crib about two weeks ago. He was still sleeping in his moses basket by our bed. I have to be honest I cried the night we moved him. I just loved our whole family being in the same room but I know he is much more comfortable in his big boy bed. He has been sleeping through the night almost every night. We have a video monitor and that seems to help my mind ease a lot. He goes to bed about 7:30-8pm and wakes about 6:30-7:30. He takes about 3 1-1/2 hour naps during the day. We will hear him wake up on the monitor and he will be in his bed playing, talking and making blow bubbles. When we go in to pick him up he is all smiles and so excited to see us... He has to be rocked to sleep and I love it. We snuggle up real close to each other and I whisper how much I love him and how proud I am of him until he falls asleep. It makes any worries or issues that I am dealing with go right away. He loves the water.. we play in the pool, the river and the bath and he loves to splash and move in the water. He is really starting to love Izzy (the dog). Whenever he gets fussy we make her come to him and he starts smiling. We have a alarm sound on our doors at home and he knows anytime it beeps that someone is coming in. He looks straight up to see who it is and gets the biggest smile on his face. I know there is so much more I am missing but I wanted to make sure I save some of these memories for the years to come. Nathan will start school next week and it will be back with the Nanny. I know they will miss each other so much during the day. I am so thankful to have a husband that is so great and helpful in raising our son. It makes me so proud to have them both. We are kind of ready for our summer to slow down and us get into a normal schedule. We are also looking forward to not having 100+ degree weather every day for the past 44 days....
We are so honored to be Waylon's parents and we can not believe how much we can love him more and more every day...God has blessed us so very much and we are so very thankful!
God Bless
