Outside!

One of Prairie's and Waylon's favorite things is being outside... As soon as Prairie wakes up from her nap she is asking to go outside... The love it and we LOVE living in south Texas where we have been in shorts for several weeks now...
The weather is so wonderful here...
With a little pushing from my brother and soon to be sis in law we have decided to plant a garden and some trees....
We have so much in our garden and we can not wait to reap what we have sown....
I like to call it my salsa garden... we have onions, tomato's, 4 different kind of peppers, squash, zucchini, basil, and cilantro..
We also planted an avocado tree, lime tree, and peach tree...
We are having to water and weed a lot but it is tons of fun to watch the process...
Prairie LOVEs the mud.. she eats handfuls at a time....I have to watch her constantly because every outfit will be ruined with all her mud dives in the garden....
Waylon is very busy outside, he loves to take the trash can out to the street and LOVES watching the trash men come on Wednesday and Saturday (which he knows by heart)...
We are having so much fun with them outside and can not wait till Dad is home more to play...

Proud Panthers!

I LOVE that my husband is a coach. My Bff and cousin will tell you that I always said I wanted to marry a coach.... And man, I married the best coach ever! I used to love going to all the games and I would stay up late till Nathan got home and we would talk about each player and the plays and how the game went....
I was so much a part of what he did and the propose of him being gone for 4 months out of the year....
Then came Babies.....
It has been very difficult to say the least... It is hard to be at home with out him in the evenings for practice and 2 other nights for games.. We have made it work though but we really have missed him.
We have been at every home game and several away games... I could not have done this without my personal babysitter who goes with me and helps me watch the kids... But there we are, screaming babies and all cheering on the panthers...
Just so happens this has been the best year Nathan has ever coached...
He has placed 1st place in a tournament, Went the season with no losses, won district champs, and bi-district champs ( his first ever play off win). We will play again Tuesday night for area champs...
This is also his 10th year to coach and be a teacher.
I could not be more proud of him and his accomplishments.
On parent night a few weeks ago the team awarded him with a trophy and had the announcer read something they wanted him to know. All in all they said he was a great coach, and influencer and treated all the kids like they were family. I could not stop crying thinking how I have complained several nights at home alone with 2 crying babies while he has been coaching kids.. Little did I know it means just as much to those kids for him to be on the field as it does that he is home with us.
He has allowed us to be such a part of that team as well. For home games he will come and pick Waylon up an let him go and play soccer with the big boys until game time... He takes Waylon to the JV games and lets him sit on the bench with the players, and he is always there to greet us after the game and makes it seem like we are all that has matter to him. He has had to be the team leader of two teams for the past 4 months and he has had to put up with a lot from each team... all the while NEVER complaining about either....He is our hero and our leader and we are so honored and proud of him for what he has done over the past 10 years and this year...
We are so lucky to have him as ours even if we have to share him for a few months out of the year....
Now, lets go destroy Fred!!!

A few to grow on!

Pretty in Pink Party People!!!

Of course I wanted to get pictures of everyone at the party but that just did not happen... Here are a few pictures of the Party People,,, One of which is my nanny.. We DO NOT know what we would do without her. She loves our children like they are her very own and treats them that way. She is family to us and we love her and are so very thankful God sent her to us. I could not have made it this year with out her....
Also could not have made it with out my own mother... There is just something special about a mother and daughter and a granddaughter... We all have such a wonderful bond and I am so thankful for that.. Granna is the one person Prairie will go to every time and prefers to go to... She has been able to keep both of the kids at any given moment for Nathan and I... She loves my babies so much and we are so thankful that she comes to stay with us all the time...
I and Prairie could also have not made it this year with out her wonderful dad...
Nathan is the best father in the entire world... He loves this baby girl so very much... At one point he said, "Prairie, you never have to learn to walk, I will carry you everywhere you want to go",,,She has him wrapped.. He will buy her anything (very close to a baby prada bag while in Vegas)... He "picks" to rock her to sleep every night, and while rocking her he will sing old country songs... He tells me how he gets teared up thinking of walking her down the isle (when she is 45). If I had a dollar for every day he says how beautiful she is I would be a rich woman... he LOVES her and She LOVES him.. they have a bond and I am so thankful. He is more than I could ever ask for in a father to our beautiful girl. I am so very thankful to God for giving this man a daughter and giving this daughter this father...
Like I had said in the earlier post, we were surrounded by people who love and care for Prairie so very much... Each person there has been a part of her first year of life in one way or another.. it was so very special...
Here is to planning next years party!! Ha!! I love having a baby girl... everything is so much more fun to go over board with and more accectpable to dad!!

THE Pretty in Pink Party

So we decided to have a "Pretty in Pink Party" because Prairie was not really into anything for a "theme" party... I could not have done it with out the advice, gaudiness and support from my bff/cousin Kimmie... I just wish I would have had a mickey mouse theme party that would have saved a lot of time and money... I kinda went over board with the Pink, but once again it was ALL worth every penny for our Princess.
We had pink curtains, table cloths, pom poms, banners, plates, cups, drinks, forks, cookies, gumballs, candy, pillows, picture frames, cupcakes, fruit dip, garden flags, hand towels flowers candy lip stick, sunglasses, headbands, bubbles, pez dispensers, lip gloss, and if I could have spray painted the entire house pink I would have....
I LOVED it... IT was beautiful in Pink... I was so sad to have to take all the pink down,....
Once again, I could not have done it with out all the ideas my cousin gave me and the help I had from Andy, Keri and My Mom...
Here are some pictures to enjoy of the party...
I had also asked everyone to wear their "prettiest in pink", it was so fun to see everyone look so "pinkie"
Prairie had a great time and that was ALL that mattered... Every day for a few days I would put up a few more pink items and she would just sit and stare at it... I think she was also sad when it all had to come down...
I am sure we will have plenty more pink party's to get to re-use everything....

The Pretty In Pink Girl

We all went to the zoo on Friday (will post that later), and to dinner on Friday night, Nate had a game so he missed out on all the fun and we sure missed him.
After all the kids were down I put Andy and Keri and my Mom to work....
I honestly could not have done it without their help...
I wanted to have her party on her actually birthday but I had to take into consideration everything that was going on and we decided to have her party on Sat. I tend to not like kids party's on Sat.. they take up so much time and such a big part of a day that is intended to spend with your own family... So I decided to have her party a bit earlier than normal, we did a 10-12 party. It was great for just snack food and then everyone could have the rest of the day to do what they need to do on a Saturday, and we could rest up....Ha!
Unfortunately this was right during the Princesses nap time...
Everyone started to show up and Prairie started to get a bit fussy. Good thing Granna was here... She gave her a bottle and rocked her right to sleep in the middle of her ongoing party.. The birthday princess slept for about an hour with everyone around her then we had to wake her up to eat cake and open gifts... She was kinda in shock to see everyone there but warmed up eventually..
We got some of the sweetest gifts and all the PINK was so fun!!! We were so thankful to have so many very great friends and family there...
Prairie is one lucky girl...
Her part was so much fun and we LOVED all the pink!
