Guess Who is going to be a Big Brother!

That is right,,, Waylon is going to be a Big Brother....
WOW!!!
Where do I even start...
I have not wanted to tell anyone but close family until I went to the doctor, just to make sure all the test results came back normal and Praise God, they did.
I am now 14 weeks along, we found out at 10 weeks. I just had a feeling for a few weeks. Nathan and I were sitting at home looking to buy a pontoon boat online and we got ready for bed I took a test that I had had in the drawer for a while. When I got out of the bathroom, I told Nathan we were going to have to hold off on that boat for a while...
There were A LOT of different emotions... we were not planning this, how will Waylon feel with a new little one around, how are we going to afford two kids, are we ever going to have time for ourselves...on and on and on.... Then with help from Nathan those thoughts became,, this is God's plan, we wanted more than just one, from Nathan, I am going to have a killer soccer team... So after the doctors apts. and ultrasounds we are very at peace and very excited to be having baby #2...
I have already had two ultrasounds. The first was at 10 weeks just to make sure we saw a heart beat. That was all we were expecting to see, a little peanut looking thing with a beating heart, low and behold the first thing I saw was five fingers waving at me. Nathan and I both about lost it. I really only thought I was 4 weeks along, I mean I was still breast feeding while we conceived.. so not only did we get to see a very strong little heart beat we also got to see arms, fingers, a nose, legs, and something in between those legs... My doctor confirmed it was a boy... I asked her again just to make sure and she acted like I was crazy. It is so early to tell and I am not painting another room but we have a big feeling it is another boy. I am super excited about this. I would love to have a girl but I love the idea of having several little boys.. We had a second ultra sound at 13 weeks to do the first trimester screening, all the results came back normal, Praise God, and the ultra sound tech said she would not go painting rooms, there was nothing she saw to really confirm. So for now we will hold our breath... I will have another ultra sound at 20 weeks so hopefully we will know more then...
Funny story, I was shopping for Waylon a "I'm and Big Bro" tee the other day to have him wear to tell the grandparents and while at the store they had several cute ones to choose from the only problem is the smallest size was a 2T..... Not to many Big brothers will only be in size 12 month when there baby brother is born... Ha Ha!! Thank God for Aunt Kimmie who of course sent us bibs that say "Big and Little Brother", she is so thoughtful and loving and we are so Glad to have her....
BTW if you have not already done the math the boys will be 15 months apart....Irish Twins, as they call them....

I have to say I am super excited. I also have to say I would not be anywhere close to as excited as I am if I did not have Nathan by my side. It is very hard to be a working mother and if I did not have Nathan to help with a ton of the work load I would not be able to do this parent thing with one, much less two. He is my rock and my strength, without him I could not make it day to day, I am so honored to have him as my babies daddy and my children are the luckiest in the world to have them as their Dad. I am so proud of him and more in love with him every day for the Man that he is...

Waylon Loves his Cousins

Waylon got to spend a lot of time with Hamilton and GG this weekend. We love them so much and wish they would move closer so we could see them all the time....

Waylon on the Farm

Here are some pictures of Waylon on the farm. He was not quite big enough to ride the horse by himself but it will be no time. Thanks Aunt Sandra and Laci for letting us come ride...

Papa's 80th Birthday..

We had a wonderful labor day weekend. We traveled to Oklahoma to celebrate my Papa's 80th birthday. We are so lucky to still have our Papa here and in such good health. It is great for Waylon to get to have these memories with him. We left on Friday, Nathan let me stop at the outlet malls to get Waylon some much needed big boy clothes for the fall and then kept driving to OK getting there very late. On Saturday morning the guys played in the first annual Jay Mashburn Golf Classic. I had hats made for all of them which was a big hit. They girls and babies went up to decorate the church fellowship hall for the big party. We had almost 50 people there and we were only missing 3 out of 13 of the grand kids. We had so much fun eating catching up with family and telling our favorite stories about Papa. It was so fun for so may of our family to get to meet Waylon for the first time. They all fell in love with him and I was so proud to be his mamma. We then went out to the farm so Waylon could ride the horses and play with his cousins some more. On Sunday we went to church with all the family and got to have another lunch with everyone then headed back. We wished we could live closer to all of our cousins so much. Waylon had so much fun playing with everyone. He and GG really became great friends and even got to ride the horse together...We already miss them so much.... Enjoy the pictures.
Thanks Laci for getting some good shots of my little cowboy...
God bless You all!

Robert Waylon is 8 Months Old!

Wow, How time flies... Seems like just yesterday I was sitting on this same couch holding my new born baby all day while he slept and slept and slept... Now it is crazy how much he does not have to sleep...
He is such a busy little boy. He loves to go and move and constantly be doing something. I love that about him. I just see the little wheels in his head turning all the time. We have $100 worth of toys I picked out at the store just for him that are on the floor but he would much rather play with the DVD player or Dad's video game... He is pulling up a lot now. We just had to lower his bed so that we would not fall out. He is standing very good and still doing his army crawl to get around everywhere. He is such a good eater and still loves his bath time. Nathan will get him naked for the bath and I will get the bath going. They will both come around the corner and look in the mirror and Waylon gets the bigges smile on his face to see that cute little boy in the mirror... The do this several times and now Waylon will try to peak around the corner as soon as they get close to the door.. so cute.. He loves being outside or anywhere on the move... He is so very sweet. Smiles at everyone he sees and lights up a room when he is in it. He is getting a lot more hair and Dad gets to brush it every night after the bath. Sometimes he will comb it over the the side and this is the little politician look and sometimes we give him a Mohawk... Whatever way it is so fun... He loves to bang on things anything he can find a new noise with he will just bang forever.. He LOVES the dog still, getting more and more interactive with her. He looks for her in the morning when I go to get him out of bed because he knows she is right behind me... They play very well together... He now goes to sleep about 8pm and wakes about 8am most of the time he will sleep all night but a few nights a week we have to get up to put his pabby back in then he his right back to sleep. He is a wonderful night sleeper. He is starting to fight his daytime sleeping. I think he just hates missing out on anything that he does not want to go to sleep. We are figuring out a few tools to trick him into going to sleep and then he will figure those out so we will have to change it up... He is so very smart. He loves books and is starting to figure out what to look for on each page...These are just a few things I can think of now that I wanted to make sure I captured...
He is still the most wonderful precious baby in the world. He is still my cuddle bug and my baby monkey... We are so very proud to be his parents and to have him as our son.
