One of lysimache's coworkers loaned us Doctor Who, Series 4, so we've been using it as an excuse to spend the weekend catching up on Series 3. (I [heart] Martha.)
I think this show is too scary for me.
We just watched "Blink," and OMG THE ANGELS ARE GOING TO GET US. TOO MANY THINGS IN MY APARTMENT HAVE FACES. THE DARTH VADER MISTER POTATO HEAD ON THE STEREO IS GOING TO GET ME.
Hold me?

lysimache still has a cold, a week later, and has been coughing like crazy. This evening she coughed so much that she threw up dinner. Poor poor her.
As for me, last night I discovered that my left eye had mysteriously become totally bloodshot, but it appears to be getting a little better today and it doesn't really hurt (it feels a little sore/dry), so I'm thinking it's not pinkeye, but I have no idea what I did to cause it. I'm scared of eye drops, so I haven't tried any. I suppose I should go to the doctor if it doesn't improve.
Played a little more FF12. Whee, FF12. My progress in video games is glacially slow. I really hate all these games with free camera control. I like fixed cameras and/or prerendered backgrounds. I just resent having to expend valuable time and energy making sure I can see where my character's going.
The show "Gay, Straight, or Taken" on Lifetime is really horrible. It is a dating show in which a woman has to pick between three men -- one is gay (with a boyfriend), one is straight (with a girlfriend), and one is straight and available. If she picks the available one they win a Fabulous Vacation; if she picks any of the others, that guy and his significant other get the vacation. So naturally the contestant tries to determine who is gay by asking them if they like girly drinks or if they are willing to straddle her during sparring practice (because, see, the gay guy would always want to be on the bottom! Ha ha ha *weeps*). But they may eventually learn they're being stupid. On the end of the show I tuned in on, the contestant had incorrectly pegged the gay as straight because he liked hunting, and she kept saying how all her stereotypes had been shattered. But on the other hand, it's really encouraging all the stereotypes.
It turns out that By Divine Right are actually playing at a creepy-looking bar. When we went over there at 9 (which was when it was supposed to start) there was pretty much no one in there, no one checking IDs or anything, and from the look of what I could see there wasn't anything like a completely set-up stage waiting. So, no, I don't want to go back. I don't think it's really worth it.
Sigh. I had been looking forward to seeing them, too. I just chickened out.
I feel blarfy. Maybe I should eat something besides a bowl of soup today.

Mostly packed. Not, like, dressed or anything, nor have I showered, but am at least packed. Am leaving as much stuff as possible here, to avoid having to bring it back again. I know I'll be coming back, and, yes, it will be good to see my family, but I still don't want to go, you know? Because when I come back it will be all with the moving. I am trying not to meep about that too much.
Anyway. My flight leaves at 6:30. I think we're going to get Thai food first. Yummy Thai food.
Yeah, the "go to Shi'ar space" issues (1, 2, 5, 7), while Brisson was doing the ones with story on Earth with the Beak family. Although I think they co-wrote #1. They've got a "New Mutants by…
I think Hickman's not going to be writing any more New Mutants, that it was just him doing that one story in the first arc... That's what I've seen said anyway. Not 100% if that's correct.
