Doctor Nikidik is a minor character who appears in the novel, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. He is hired at Shiz University as Dr. Dillamond's replacement, as well as being responsible for taking the lion cub, Brrr, from his mother, which enrages Elphaba.
History[]
Doctor Nikidik is hired at Shiz University’s Crage Hall as the replacement Life Science instructor after previous teacher, Doctor Dillamond, is killed. In one Nikidik class, he attempts to bring a painting to life with the Powder of Life, but instead it backfires and brings a rack of antlers to life, which manages to terrorize new student Fiyero Tigelaar during his first day at Shiz.
In the next week’s class, Doctor Nikidik brings in a defenseless Lion cub for a morally questionable academic experiment and to show his students the difference between the non-speaking animals and the talking Animals. He says he named the cub 'Brrr' because it shivers often. Student Elphaba Thropp is outraged how he would use a defenseless Cub for experiments, and her protest causes the experiment to be put off (and the Cub to escape).

- Dr. Nikidik is based on the Baum's character from The Marvelous Land of Oz. He is referred as The Crooked Wizard who gave Mombi the Powder of Life.
