Oatsie Manglehand is the tough, no-nonsense operator of the Grasstrail Train, a horse-and-coach caravan that transports passengers through the Vinkus.
History[]
Confident and forthright, Oatsie commands respect among her caravan. In Wicked, she transports Liir and Elphaba to Kiamo Ko. One night, she joins a campfire discussion on the Kumbric Witch and the nature of evil, and she argues that evil came first—that it predates goodness and has always been a part of the world.
Later, she finds an injured Liir and brings him to the Cloister of Saint Glinda in Son of a Witch.
