Another button & swinging!



While I was doing some dishes this morning, I glanced over at Madi and saw that she figured out how to push the tiny purple button that makes this toy light up and spin inside! 
We have shown her before (a few days ago) but she couldn't do it on her own.

It was so cute to see her do it and get excited because she realized she knew how to make it work.   

  

Madi and I ran a bunch of errands in town and had some extra time before we met up with Mike (to hit the Smiths case lot sale - more on that tomorrow) so we headed to the park! 
It was a beautiful, no wind, warm day!!!  This was her first time swinging and this is what she thought about it :)

  It didn't scare her she just wasn't quite sure about it. 
She was also quite distracted by all the kids running around.

I did get a few smiles out of her :)



And an OOOOHHHH face!

We also played in the grass for a bit.

And got quite excited watching some high school boys play soccer.

Just before we left, those boys put the soccer ball away and pulled out a frisbee! I can't even tell you how much I wanted to run out there and play ultimate frisbee with them! I'd even play one-handed with Madi in the other arm!
I think I am having withdrawals after watching them as we left, I NEED to play Ultimate this summer!!!

TV

 

Madi managed to turn the tv on this morning when she was playing with the remote.
  I took this pic after she turned it on and she has a very determined look as she pushes another button.
She really likes the buttons on the cell phone and even managed to text Uncle Sterling the other day. 

  

She thought it was pretty cool that she turned it on!

So this afternoon she would not take her afternoon nap...
but she crashed around 4:45 for a power nap.
I didn't let her sleep long though...too late for a nap.



Today wasn't as windy so we went on a short walk



I love being outside.  I love watching the clouds. 
I love the mountains.
  Madi really likes being outside as well!  I can't wait for it to get even warmer!  I am so glad Spring is here!



I noticed something about Big Blue on our walk...

Telephone

She keeps crawling into tight spots...

...where she gets stuck

We practiced talking on the telephone today. 
She kept missing her ear and putting the phone back really far.



      But she kept practicing                                 It's for you Mom!

 Beautiful Spring day...still a little chilly for walk though

Tonight I asked Madi, "Where's Daddy?"
She crawled right over to the door and tried to open it.
It was so cute!  

When we are in view of the window (and when I know Mike just got home), I'll ask her "Where's Daddy?" and she'll look out the window and watch for him.  She gets so excited when he comes home.  Quite often he gets a round of applause from her :)

Today she started rolling her tongue around in her cheeks,

Just chillin' on my book :)

So I got tired of her pulling all of the baggies out of the box...
so out came the baggies, tinfoil, plastic wrap, etc...
and in went the toys :)

That was just for the day. 
I really need that drawer for baggies, etc.

 The toys are out and the baggies are back in now...but I've got to childproof this drawer :)
