6 Months

• She is sleeping through the night.    

• She loves her crib for nighttime sleeping- and our babysitter has gotten her on a schedule so now she is finally napping in her crib.

• Most 6 month clothes fit but some 3 month ones still fit too.

• Hattie was baptised this month and had both sets of grandparents, her great-grandmothers, and all her aunts and uncles in attendance.  It was a wonderful weekend!

• We’ve moved to size 2 diapers. Pampers are still our favorite.  

• It looks like we have a brown eyed girl on our hands.

• Hattie loves to talk and make noises.  Each morning on the way to school she sings and laughs—even if she can’t see me- I can see her smiling in the mirror.

• She laughs out loud and get tickled when she makes noises.

• Hattie really loves the exersaucer.  It’s a baby einstein version with sea creatures and she has gotten really good at flipping the whale over and over.

• Hattie loves to be held and rocked but is very content to play on the floor with her toys.

• The butterfly carseat toy is her favorite—she chews on all the parts and pieces.

• She is making all kinds of sounds – grunting, oohing, and ahhing.

• Smiling is still her favorite and it’s very gummy!  If you talk to her she grins from ear to ear.

•  

• The is still getting breastmilk and some formula and some oatmeal at night.

• She hasn’t started sitting up, but is rolling EVERYWHERE!

• Hattie loves to roll onto her stomach and then use her arms to push up and look all around.

• Each day Hattie wears around 3 or 4 bibs or outfits because of the drool!  It’s everywhere!!!

Hattie’s Baptism

Hattie was baptized today in a very special service attended by ALL of our immediate family.  This was a day we have looked forward to for months, and everyone was able to be here.  That made today even more special!

We were so honored that Raigan was able to come and be a part of Hattie’s baptism.  I was living with Raigan and her family, working as their nanny, when Josh and I met.  She was there the night I came home from our first date—and agonized over whether he was going to call me again or not.  She married Josh and I, prayed with us and for us when we were soooo ready to have a baby, and has rejoyced with us since Hattie has arrived!  We couldn’t imagine this day without her.  Huge props to Raigan who baptized Hattie and then raced back to her own church- over an hour away in time to preach an 11:00 sermon!

After church we had our family over to eat a yummy meal and fellowship together to celebrate this very special day for our Hattie Fate.

We were sooooooo glad that Whitney and Jase could join us……. and SUPER excited that Caden was able to come too!

We had a photo shoot with two babies--- and this was the best shot we got.

It was truly a special day and we are so blessed to have received this precious life.. and have chosen to raise her a follower of Christ. 

Uncles and Aunts and Grandparents.....Oh My!

Whew……. we have had a weekend full of family and fun!  It’s been very exciting- and I wouldn’t want it any other way.  A set of grandparents, two uncles, an aunt, and a great grandmother visiting make for a FULL house!

We enjoyed breakfast together yesterday morning.

Then Jase arrived and the guys headed out for a round of golf.

Mom, Hattie and I ran a few errands.

Then we spent the rest of the day hanging out together and enjoyed visiting.

 

Whitney, Caden, Mammaw, and Jan joined us and we grilled out and had a wonderful meal.  Uncle Bran and Uncle Jim thought Hattie was a wonderful centerpiece on the table as they ate.

Mamaw Turns 90

Last weekend we had a 90th birthday party for Mammaw.  She turned 90 on August 7th!!

Saturday afternoon we got together with the Murffs/Colemans and Hattie and Tinley played together.  Tinley loved holding Hattie.

 Mamaw tried to get a picture with her two great grands.  Getting a 2 year old and a 5 month old to look at the camera and smile at the same time was a challenge! This is the best one we got.

We are so lucky to have Mammaw!
