Less than a week!

I know I haven't been updating this blog, and now that I've been reading from back when I was just about to give birth to Liam, I am really sad that I have neglected to capture my pregnancy with Elizabeth in the same way. I don't know why I haven't (aside from the fact that my kiddo and work and school and well, facebook...) have kept me occupied... But I think there may be a larger reason. While I have not had nearly the anxiety that I had with my pregnancy with Liam, I have felt that it was surreal. As if it were happening to someone else... I had just gotten used to the fact that I am pregnant...and comfortable with that, when I realized that very soon that pregnancy is going to turn into a newborn.
Less than a week from now, in fact.
Monday at 10:30 am (the 27th) Elizabeth will make her entry from the womb, and I will have two in the world.
We have been spending time getting the house ready and finishing her room (which turned out just as I imagined). Liam and I have been watching A Baby Story. He's the kind of kid that NEEDS to know how things happen, so we have watched both the natural childbirth episodes and the ones with the C section, so he can see what will happen to mommy. He is fiercely excited about his sister and his prayers to God for keeping her safe will be treasured memories forever.
Today was out last OB appointment, and after that appointment I turned in the last of our filled up sharps container, saying goodbye forever to the remnants of our fertility treatments, and our broken hearts.
Yesterday we took our family "before" photo...and I cannot wait share with all of you our after. Our table will no longer have an empty chair. Our family fourpack of tickets will be fulfilled.
