We went to a friend's b'day party this afternoon at a big indoor park. There were things to bounce on, go carts, and all kinds of things. Matthew had a blast and Zachary got his first tast of chocolate cake!!

House Pics

Our front yard...the guy that lived here before us wanted a pond out front, but never quite finished the job!
More front yard.
The front of our house. To the left of the front porch light is actually a little apartment. A German man lives there right now, but is moving soon. The top story is ours. We just share some of the main floor and the basement.
This is where the cows sleep...right behind our house =)

Some pictutres of the boys' rooms and outside. The boys rooms are the smallest rooms that we have in the house and they are quite dinky, but I like it that way! There is not a lot of room for them to mess it up =)

Surgery

We took Zachary into the hospital bright and early Fri. morning for tubes to be put into his ears. We were there at 7 am and didn't get to leave until 1pm. Needless to say it was a long day especially for the boys. After talking to the doctor it turns out that he didn't need the tubes after all. He made a small incision in his ears and said that everything looked ok so no need for them. A relief yes, but I was a little frustrated as we heard some different things from every doctor that he saw. It was a very long, tiring process. He did get some cookies though when he was done and that he enjoyed very much!

Feeding Time

Matthew was feeding Zachary some cherrios yesterday and boy did Zach think that this was hysterical!!

We went to the doc today and Zachary is good to go for tomorrow. Even though it is just simple little surgery I can’t help but to be nervous. It should only take a few hours though and then we should be able to go home. I’ll be sure to let y’all know how it goes.

***Just little FYI…Trier is billed as Germany's oldest city because of the Roman ruins scattered throughout. Augusta Treverorum, later called Trier, was founded around 16 B. C. by Emperor Augustus. In the third century, as the region was developing into an early Christian center, Emperor Diocletian made Treviri, as Trier was called, a Roman imperial residence and capital of the West Roman Empire.
Still standing from this era are the Porta Nigra, a massive Roman gate and fortification, the Amphitheater, and three thermal baths. ( yes i got that off the internet =) )
