Bath Tub Fun

I got the boys some foamy bubble stuff quite a while ago and I finally got around to digging it out for them. As you can tell from the pictures they had a great time playing with it and they emptied out both bottles! Oh well, at least it was money well spent and an easy clean up!!

A little update!

Since I am up super early this morning, due to the fact that I had to take Allan to work at 4:30, I thought that I would write a little update! I know that I have been a super bad blogger this year (ha ha) so I am going to fill you in on our super busy Sell household!

-Matthew has been a very sassy 3 year old and I am hoping that in his 5th year of life he will get a little more mellow. He cracks us up with the things that he says, but we know that he shouldn't talk to us like he does. For instance, he likes to throw out his hand (like in a "talk to the hand" kind of way) and say "what do you need mommy?" Things of that nature. Little booger ;)

- He has now grown to 44.5" and is way off the growth chart (they say out of 100 children he would be the tallest)! He is weighing in at 42.3 lbs. He wears a size 5 and has a size 11 or 12 foot. He is just so big! People don't usually believe me when I tell them how old he is!

- His German is really taking off. His teachers said that he speaks in mostly German at school and that he is doing really well. From time to time he will start singing in German or talking to me in German and of course I don't understand. He does come in handy though when we are around town. I just nod and smile and let him do the responding =)

-Zachary is also getting very big, although I don't have his measurements on me. He is weighing about 34 lbs and almost 3 feet tall. He is catching up to Matthew very quickly! He wears a size 3 or 4T and a size 9 shoe!

-His talking just sky rockets every day! He can count to 10 in both English and German and knows his colors and animals in both languages as well. He LOVES school and his teachers (so does M) and they just love him up.

- He is a little ham and makes the cutest little faces! He knows what he is doing and loves the attention that he gets!

- He also LOVES his big brother and does EVERYTHING that Matthew does. He wants to eat what Matthew does, play with him, wear what he wears. If only he would use the potty like big brother does then the Sell household would be a happier (and fresher smelling) house!

-Allan is doing very well at work! He was nominated for the NCO (non commissioned officer) of the year, and although he didn't win we are still very proud of him! He was however, nominated as the new president of the Top 4 which is a club of sorts for the top ranking enlisted folks. This should keep him very busy for the next year!

- He tests on March 6 for promotion to Master Sergeant. Let's all keep our fingers crossed that this happens b/c mommy could use a new car!!

- As for myself, I have been very busy lately (hence the slaking of the blog)! I got a new job at Allan's base working as the new Community Support Center Liasion. I basically help all the newly assigned people get situated and keep everyone up to date on what is going on. I work part time from 8-1, the same times that the boys are in school so it works out nicely.

- I am also still in school and I am only 2 classes away from finishing up. I don't have to do a thesis, but I do take a COMPS test which I will take this fall. It is basically a test over all of my core classes in essay format. If all goes well I should have my master's by the end of the year!!

- One of my biggest accomplishments this year so far is that I won Spouse of the Year for the 52ndFW, so out of about 17 bases. My package was sent up to Ramstein and if I win for all the bases in Europe (don't hold your breath), I would get a trip to DC to meet the president, but as of now all I have won is a certificate, which is very nice by the way!

- I am still the Vice President of the Spouse's group that I help to start and that also keeps me pretty busy.

Life in the Sell household just never seems to slow down! It seems as thought we have something to do every weekend and during the week is filled up with work and errands as well. I will try to update more and get some more pictures up. The boys are just growing up so fast and they are so wonderful, well sometimes ;) I think that that about covers it for now! It is now time for me to get ready for work and I'll probably still be late since that is the way it goes around here! Take care everyone! We miss you and love you all!!

Happy 4th Birthday Matthew

This past Saturday was Matthew's 4th birthday! Unfortunately it wasn't the joyous occasion that we had been anticipating as he has been up the night before throwing up and then continuing into the day. As the day went on he seemed to be feeling better, but then an hour before his party was to begin he started all over again. Poor baby! So at the last minute we had to cancel his party, but luckily everyone was able to come over the next day and he was doing much better! Here are some pictures from his birthday party:
