Burg Eltz
This past Sunday the weather was absolutely gorgeous and so we decided to take in some sun and culture and go on a tour of a local castle. Zachary was on his best (insert sarcasm here) 2 year old behavior as we couldn't keep him quite during the tour so we really didn't hear much, but it was beautiful. At what age do kids actually learn the definition of quiet anyways?? Any who...we had a wonderful time and although we weren't allowed to take any pictures inside we did get some good ones from the outside.

New Camera
My wonderful hubbie surprised me and bought me a new camera that I have been wanting for almost a year now. So, I had to test it out and here are some new pictures of the boys! I still have a lot to learn, but it is fun playing!

on a little side note, zachary went in to the doctor today for his 2 yr. check up. he now weighs 32 lbs. and is 35 inches tall, a hair away from an even 3 feet! both are in the 90th percentile.
| Here is Matthew throwing a nice temper tantrum for us! |
| Allan gave the boys their first driving lesson. I hope that they greatly improve over the next 15yrs. or so ;) |

Sommerfest
Hello all! I have been MIA for awhile as I got to go on vacation by myself for 5 days to beautiful Mallorca, Spain so now it is back to reality and back to the kids ;) Today Matthew had a sommerfest party at school. They even put on a little performance and Matthew was such a good sport and participated. I had absolutely no idea about what was going on, but I was the proud momma in the first row with the camera right up in his face! By the looks of things, I don't think Matthew really had a clue either, but it was entertaining to watch. It is amazing to see how much a 3 year old can learn in such a short amount of time. We are very, very proud of Matthew as his German is really picking up. He can count, say his colors, and carry on a short conversation. When he talks he sometimes goes back and forth between German and English which gets a little confusing for me since he knows more than I do, but I love it!!

Some pictures from today:

This is Matthew and his friend Marielle. She is his "best friend" at school. Every morning when we get there he looks for her back pack and when she is there he gets so excited and she runs out into the hall and gives him a big hug. They are really cute together!
