Control Points is a gamemode in Typical Colors 2. Both teams start with an equal number of two controlled points and a central point that starts out controlled by neither team. When the round starts, a timer counts down.

At the beginning of the round, each team's control points are locked while the center point is unlocked and can be taken. The first team to capture all the control points or the team with the most control points when time ends wins the round. If the timer ends when a point has capture progress on it, the game heads into overtime. After the point's capture progress is lost or completed, the team with more control points wins.

To capture a control point, stand on it with one or more players, as long as as there are no players from the opposing team standing on the control point and the control point is not locked.
