The Trooper is a serious, militaristic veteran from the Midwestern United States. He is the fourth class in Typical Colors 2, preserving as a power class specializing in crowd control.
Because of his Rocket Launcher, Trooper is considered the most dominant class in the game. Despite his slow movement speed, he has the upper hand to perform rocket jumps to reach his destination as fast as possible by detonating his rocket at his feet and launching himself skyward at the cost of health.
Trooper uses the Shotgun as his backup if his rocket launcher runs out of ammo, but the shotgun can be exchanged with particular banners that add a 'Rage' meter, which can be filled by damaging enemies or taking damage from enemies. In addition, activating it will give nearby teammates and Trooper himself a buff.
He is based off of Team Fortress 2's Soldier.

Tips
- The Trooper is a front-line class, treat him as such.
- He is one of the best classes for capturing objectives thanks to his high damage output and high health pool, along with an assortment of combat options.
- You can equip the Furious Flagxe to help capture objectives faster.
- Mastering the "art" of rocket jumping will help resolve the issue that Trooper's slow natural movement speed arises.
- As a Trooper, aim rockets at an enemy's feet in order to ensure that they can't avoid the explosion damage.
- If you're under 60 HP, do not try to rocket jump unless you have the Gunboats on or the Parabomber and Rocket Jumper equipped together, as it will slow down your fall and keep you alive.
- While in the air from a blast jump, do not try to turn too quickly as you may end up flying in the opposite direction and into the enemy team.
- As a Trooper, Arsonist is your biggest counter. They can reflect your rockets right back at you and get rewarded with mini-crits. It is best to pack a shotgun if there is a good Arsonist in the enemy team.
- Shooting at someone's feet with your Rocket Launcher will cause them to fly up, while having little air control. You can use this to push back enemies or make it harder for your opponent to hit, allowing you more time to deal damage to them.
- Attempt to maintain the high ground as it makes it easier for splash damage to hit. If you are not on high ground and facing another enemy, then attempt to rocket jump.
- If the enemy team is holding their flanks, then make sure to hold yours. If the enemy team is not holding their flanks, try to take this to your advantage and fire down on them, surprising them and getting a few kills.
- This type of play-style is known as the "roamer".
- If an enemy is coming through the air, you're most likely not going to hit them, so wait until they are on the ground and then fire.
- Alternatively, you can use your shotgun to hit them while they are mid-air.
- Do not neglect splash damage. This can be very effective with hitting targets that are just about to come into a doorway.
- If the enemy Mechanic has his buildings clumped together, then fire at the ground in the middle or next to the buildings, as this will damage all of them. This is an incredibly effective tactic to deal with a Mechanic's nest

- Through all of Trooper's variation, some of his accessories are made by Roblox:
- 2017, 2018, 2019 version: TMNT Helmet.

- Long before Rehaul, Trooper used to have a Military Knife instead of a crowbar for a melee weapon.
- Trooper was originally called "Rocketman" in Typical Colors 1.
- The Trooper appears as a skin in Arsenal.
- The skin was released in the Halloween 2019 update, but his appearance resembled the Veteran cosmetic rather than his default cosmetic. In 2021, the skin was updated in response to the Fit with Fitten update and was changed to resemble his default appearance. Arsonist also had a similar situation.
- Trooper's old outfit on the TGC team suggested that he was British or served in the British Military once.
