Randomizer is a gamemode accessible through community servers and the server browser. It is based on the Team Fortress 2 community gamemode of the same name.

Players will have their loadouts and class randomized. The loadouts can include any weapon in the game and wear any cosmetic, even if the class can't naturally use it, has been removed entirely, or exclusive to developers.

Tips[]

  • Be aware of your weapons and learn their advantages.
  • You will have to employ entirely different strategies for different classes based on your spawned loadout.
  • Never directly engage enemies unless you are entirely confident that your loadout is stronger than theirs, as they may have something up their sleeves; A Doctor may be vulnerable on their own in regular gameplay, but they may be equipped with something powerful such as the M60.

Weapons[]

All possible obtainable weapons (in the current state of the game, excluding the 1000 Degree Axe) are included in the weapon pool. This section shows the following uncommon and obscure weapons that are included in the pool.

Players can spawn with cosmetics that normally cannot be worn by their class. Most cosmetics' designs on these classes are automatically generated, but certain cosmetics on certain classes have a custom-made design that differs from the automatically generated design.

Bugs[]

  • Mechanics and Agents are unable to construct buildings or cloak.
  • Players are unable to select a team to choose if Auto Team Sort is disabled.
  • Players are not given a randomized loadout when the round starts, instead requiring them to die to be given one.
  • Some secondary weapons are unable to be used, as if you never rolled a secondary weapon to begin with.
  • Occasionally, players may be locked out of switching teams and be unable to spawn in.
  • Classes can disguise by killing an enemy with the Your Eternal Reward directly (not backstabbing). This can sometimes cause the class to not lose their disguise, even if they attack.

Trivia[]

  • There used to be a bug where if the gamemode was Arena, the match would immediately stalemate due to the loadout re-rolling counting as a death.
  • The icon is made by Toiletarecool.
  • Weapon animations are deliberately janky to replicate how class-specific weapon viewmodels are not supposed to carry over to other classes in Team Fortress 2.
    • Through a developer-exclusive setting or Vs. Bosses, all animations are compatible with every weapon on every class.
    • ExecutiveKrab has stated that the intentionally buggy reloads could be reverted to work as intended at any time.
  • Every weapon in this gamemode is labeled as Normal regardless of original quality, most notably select Dorcey weapons and the golden weapons, which are normally only available in Dorcey and Strange quality, respectively.
  • The placeholder icon was taken from a decal on the Creator Marketplace called random.
