Mini Worker

Emmy came to visit me one day...okay, okay, I had to go back to the office minutes after I picked her up.

She had a good time spinning on the chairs. Crazy!

Yes, I have three monitors...ugh. To say I'm busy for 8-9 hours straight is an understatement. Hold me.

Back at home, she was back to work. =)

Father/Daughter Dance

Elly's school for the first time put together a father/daughter dance. I was so excited for both of them. We bought Elly a dress, Jon dressed in his finest and off they went.

Jon even bought his date a rose! Aweeee! Jon said he was the only Dad to really dance, but he didn't care who saw him making a fool of himself. He said he was there for his girl and she loved every minute.

Makes my heart swell.

Everyday

2nd Birthday Party

I'm a little upset with myself that I didn't get very many pictures of Emmy's party. I was too busy having fun with our friends who love my little family.  We had a great day though and Em only lost it a little when everyone was singing Happy Birthday to her.

Jon and Elly went to her basketball game around 1, Em and I stayed home and put the final touches on her party.

She got dressed, she hates this dress and this is after 15 minutes of crying.  Finally she thought it was acceptable and she let me put her hair up.

Party decor, balloons of course! All the Minnie/Micky's we have...we may need an intervention.

Dear Emmy

I feel like I turned around twice and you turned two.  I really wish that sometimes I could push pause in this game called life but I guess that's impossible.  This morning you woke up, a little upset (you always wake up crying a bit), I scooped you up and told you happy birthday.  We cuddle for a little while and then I sent you on your way upstairs to wake up your big sister.  You climbed the stairs, ran across her room and yelled SISSSSSY!!  I could hear Elly telling you happy birthday too, you two sure love each other.

I can't wait to see what two brings you, being one was pretty darn amazing!  We love you Emmy Elaine Hope!

Emmy---Party Time!

Can't believe tomorrow is Em's birthday! Today is her last day of being one!!

We picked up munchkins (donut holes) for her day care...I gave a candle but doubt Em will know what to do with it. HA!

Party day is Saturday! See you all then!

Dinner

We were invited to dinner, by a quick phone call...hey Kaci you and the double E's wanna go out? Sure, okay meet us in 10 mins.

Sick Chick...Again

Poor sick baby, at least she got sick today when it was another snow day for Elly.

We are all in need of a serious nap.

Today we celebrate 14 years of togetherness.

 

On Saturday my incredible friend watched both girls and Jon and I went out for the first time,

 

in a really REALLY really long time. 

It was blissful.  Just sitting, talking, laughing just the two of us.

 

We were teenagers when we first said I love you and continue to say it now as 30 somethings.
