Elijah See, Elijah Do

Elijah showed me some butterfly artwork from daycare.  He then promptly crumpled up the butterflies and threw it in the garbage.

I thought we were pretty good about not throwing away Elijah's artwork in front of him but we must...whoops.

22 Month Pictures - Before Becoming a Brother

Loves playing in the sprinkler as long as it's at 'Elijah height'.

Elijah can say "Joe Mauer".

Elijah loves to mow the grass and lawnmowers.

Elijah got his first haircut before his brother arrived.  His haircut makes him look so much older.  Here's what the poll said.

Before pictures.

Very nervous initially but better after the stylist gave him a truck.

What do you think?  And his first sucker.

Future Minnesota Twin?

How is Elijah's swing?

Elijah is very serious as he awaits for the pitch.

All laughs after making contact.

Morning Conversation with Elijah

Elijah's definition of "working" is different than a lot of people's definition.  He associates "working" with construction and tractors/trucks moving dirt...haha.  Not all of us our construction workers, Elijah!  Here's the conversation I had with him this morning:

Elijah (looking for Dave): Da?  Da?

Me: Dad's working.

Elijah: Working?  Moving dirt?

***
Here are some construction related pictures.

Ready to start "working" in his car.

Da & Elijah pick up imaginary rocks and dirt to load up in the car.

On the way to drop the rocks and dirt off at the next site.

Dropping off the rocks and dirt.

We also visit the real construction sites and he just loves watching tractors "move dirt".

Parked in a Target parking lot and watched construction for 45 + minutes...

22 Month Pictures

First picture: Happy boy before a nap.  Second picture: Crabby, sweaty boy...tantrum.

First picture: Checking out the local construction.  Second picture: We thought he would like his driving mat more than he does.

Still loves to draw...still looks like he will be right handed.

Reading his truck book with Da.

Happy boy.

Playing with the sprinkler.

So cute.

So busy...

Elijah and I used to always read in the chair before bed, Dad sat on the side or floor.  Now he requests Da (see pictures above).  This is a rare picture of Mom and Elijah - he's learned that he doesn't have enough room with me anymore.  He has mentioned "stuck" when sitting with me!

Sweaty boy at daycare.

 Watching Elijah pictures or videos.

Love watching him sleep.
