Gearing for Ireland

Well .... the bedroom is scattered with all the paraphernalia.  I leave for Ireland, Yorkshire, and Scotland tomorrow.  That's the general idea anyway.  No blogging until September.  Will be gone from July 29 to August 29.  As we used to say ......  "I'm stoked!"   Tomorrow leaving out of MBS through Chicago to Shannon.  As Sue says, "Go for it!" 

 

Cruisin'

 Kim Herbolsheimer treated us to a cruise to an A&W and stop along the waterfront.  Betty's health didn't allow her to come along, so Elizabeth joined us her last day home.  We certainly got the "looks" and one guy at a gas station walked past, "... Pretty!"

Summer

Elizabeth cooked one of her specialties -- "unstuffed peppers."  Reminds me of Claire's favorite, "Peanut butter toast, not-toasted."

 

Elizabeth and Dad sat in blazing sun to watch the Corn Fest parade.  Our Lions entry got snuffed at the end because our vintage Corvair choked out.  But here is the 2013 Western High State Baseball champs and our Grace School float.

Perfect Summer Day with Cousins

We had a fun and hot summer day swimming at a quiet spot on the east side of Saginaw Bay with Aunt Christine, Jacob and Caleb... with Aunt Rebecca, Emma, Claire, and Hannah, Aunt Elizabeth (The-the), and Grandpa.  Back for some nails (a "must" with Aunt Elizabeth) and great summer supper (BLTs, corn on the cob, lemon cake).

Steve and Deb's 40th

We were over at VanTols for a little bit on the 4th, two days ahead of Steve and Deb's 40th wedding anniversary.  They'll be celebrating with a New York state bike tour next week.  Congrats!!
