Randomness

I've been working on my journal and catching up my blog. I want to remember this very different summer.

Yes

I am looking forward to this new school year. I have no idea what it will look like but I am choosing to look for the positive.

This popped up on my hometown page on Facebook.  We used to buy ice cream bars or popsicles from the Merry Mobile in the summer when I was a kid. Fun memories.

Another puzzle finished.

The puzzle area is ready for the next puzzle challenge.

So Clay got this puzzle for Gary.
It is going to be hard.

Visting the Aina Girls

I stopped by the Ainas so Sarah could go and pick up her grocery order at Walmart.

Adeline was in a heated Mario Kart race with Sarah.

Adeline is really good at the game.

Ellie was busy and Isla was wondering where Papa was.

Check out Adeline's cheesy grin.

Isla was proud that she did these puzzles all by herself.

Then she started over again.

Adeline wanted me to play Mario Kart with her, but I am really bad a video games.  She was okay with me watching her play.

Ellie being silly

Abby researching something on the computer. Yes, she is squatting in the chair.

Ellie playing something on Izzy's old DS that she passed on to her cousins.

She reminds me of Sarah while she's focusing on something.

I'm glad Adeline is feeling better. She's not quite 100% but she is much better.

A Quiet Night In The Screened Porch

Izzy and I sat out in the screened porch one rainy night and just listened to the rain, watching lightning, and listening to the thunder.

A little candlelight

Trying to remember to relax and enjoy the little moments.

Memes That Help Me Make It Through 'Those' Days

Yes

Help create those feelings in the hearts of others.

It is easier to stay happy when you start looking for the positive in each situation.

Friends are so important.

I sleep much better when at the end of the day I take time to realize all that I have to be grateful.

Goals

I try to learn from them so I don't continue to make the same mistake and then move on and do better.

Good to remember on a tough day. We all have tough days.

There is always something to be grateful for.

True! I thought by the time I was in my sixties I would have it all figured out. Nope, I'm still working on things every single day.

At times I need the rest to get to the peace.

Even if that means your circle is small.

Sometimes we just need this reminder.

I can do hard things!

We have no idea what this school year will be like.  In teaching you are always told to be flexible. Change happens all the time.

I try to do this. I do not always succeed.

Around the House

Ellie had Sarah send us a picture of a puzzle she finished.

I started this Rose of Sharon with a cutting from my Mom's plant.

This is the first time it has bloomed.

It's been growing but it finally bloomed this year.

More blooms in the garden

We enjoy the garden although it has been too hot for us to be out there much right now.

Hoisin chicken, rice and corn for dinner.

Abby made pizza for a youth activity. They had two zoom classes. On Tuesday they made the dough and on Wednesday they finished up with toppings and baked their pizzas.  It was a fun activity for those who participated.

We stopped over to visit the Aina girls.

Isla is at the stage of fun faces.

Adeline wasn't feeling well.
