Addie's Birthday Party

Addie is officially 2 years old! We had a party with both sides of the family. We just did it at a park since we decided that Addie would love it if we just let her go play on a slide and swings.

Here is Addie's cake, since her party was at a park we just did a cupcake cake, with Sesame Street of course since she decided after watching it 40 times on vacation that's her new favorite thing.

Here is Addie in her birthday crown with frosting on her face because she was left unattended next to her cake and decided to help herself. Of course she will never look at the camera. If she sees it she looks down or she runs so we take what pictures we can get.

Addie actually got into the whole present opening thing this year. Last year she just wanted to play with whatever she opened but I think she's seen a lot of the birthdays over the last two months so she knows the drill.

Now it's officially time for cake and she is still relatively clean.

Family Vacation

Seeing how we haven't updated our blog in a good month or so, I guess we have a lot to catch up on. The week of July 14th-19th we took our family vacation to Oceanside, California. I was pretty worried about it since we were driving there and Demzi has recently decided that she hates the car...all in all it turned out really well. The vacation was great, we got to spend the whole week with Teresa's family and see her brother and his family that lives in Georgia which was super fun. The driving wasn't so bad as long as Sesame Street All Star Alphabet was going for Addie and Demzi had someone (Teresa) to hold the binkie in her mouth.

This picture here is Addie playing in the sand with her cousin Zoe. While Addie did try dip her feet in the water she eventually decided that she would rather just play in the sand. I think we're still finding sand in her hair.

This is all of us at SeaWorld. Addie really liked it, she likes the big fish. Plus there was a Sesame Street 3D movie which was the highpoint of the day.
On our way down to California we split up the driving and stayed in St. George. This is the girls in the hotel room just before we went swimming.

Here is Balboa Park. We heard it was really cool we didn't end up staying very long or going into any of the museums but they had some cool buildings. Here we were mainly taking a picture of the guy in the pond taking care of the plants.

Addie and Kris at the beach right by where we were staying.

Demzi and her cousin Scott enjoying the beach. They got their own umbrella to sleep under.
