Not much going on

So this last couple of weeks has been all about settling in to our new routines. Addie is at school three days a week so it seems like we are on the go a lot more. Addie has been loving school which is good news since she had it so built up in her mind. Demzi seems to be adjusting to not having her here as much too which is good.

Another new thing is Demz is stuck in the "all myself" stage. She wants to buckle her own seatbelt, climb up on things by herself and of course get herself dressed. This is one day where we had the time that she could take an hour to dress herself. She got really close, she missed the arm holes and couldn't get her shorts up over her diaper but other than that....She also thinks that she should be going potty everytime Addie does. I should take this opportunity to potty train her but the whole task just sounds exhausting.
Liam seems to do something new everyday. He loves to kick around in his car walker and apparently the only way to push the buttons is with your mouth, never mind that his hands are already right there.
I got him to smile pretty good with this picture but he has this cheesy smile lately. He leans his head back, scrunches up his nose, closes his eyes and shows off his teeth.

He has finally started to crawl on his hands and knees. He's been doing the pushup crawl for a while and would get himself stuck everywhere. He was stuck under one of our folding chairs and was trying to figure out how to crawl over that bar.

He has to stop every few seconds and clap for himself as he gets into whatever trouble he is headed for, I think that he has pulled off every one of our door stops and put them in his mouth. We've had to hide all of them, but he's just so proud of himself.

First Day of School

It's only preschool, but still, Addie has been asking me when she could go to school for the last year and a half it's a pretty big deal. I love how excited she was to go, and I was even happier when she came back just as excited. She came back from school and told me all about it in the car, through lunch, on the way up the stairs for her nap and I think she picked up right where she left off when she woke up. I'm not sure she ever stops talking but I'm glad that she thinks that school is fun, hopefully she can stay excited for a long time.

Labor Day

A vacation wouldn't be a vacation without running from place to place and throwing your kids completely off schedule. The whole weekend was packed with a party, a family reunion, going to the BYU football game, and two baby blessings so by the time Monday morning came around our kids were already in party mode. Our day started early as we headed down to Payson to go the onion days parade. It was pretty cold this year. Our kids were in jackets and covered with a blanket. Finally by the time the parade started it had warmed up enough to take off the jackets.
After the parade we spend some time in the park looking at what was for sell at the booths and listening to entertainment in the park. We also headed over to look at the car show.
I love this picture. At the car show and Addie wanted her picture taken next to a red car. She picked one and then she was totally posing but I couldn't get Demzi to not touch the car. Finally I told Demzi that she had to fold her arms. So, I have Addie performing for the camera while Demzi is glaring at me for making me fold her arms.
Unfortunately the only pictures I have are of onion days. I would have liked to have gotten some of after when we went to my aunt Pat's for the wing ding. Pat and Jay cook up lots of chicken every labor day and are nice enough to invite everyone over. Liam had decided to help himself and fed himself as I walked through the line. He had smeared jello and macaroni salad all over his face, after that he helped himself to Addie's chicken leg and by the end of it was one jello-y greasey mess, I should have at least snapped a picture with my phone but in the end forgot.

9 Months!

Stats:
Weight: 17lbs 11.5oz
Length: 28 3/4 in.
I can't believe that Liams is nine months already. All of the sudden he is turning more and more little boy and less baby. Here are a few things about Liam at 9 months...
  • Has 4 teeth. He didn't have any at 8 months and I was thinking how lucky I was then all four of them came within a couple weeks of each other.
  • Has his own version of the crawl. He looks a little bit like a worm, he gets up on his hands and knees, then down to his belly until he has scooted far enough to get what he wants
  • Thinks his sisters are hilarious
  • Is the happiest baby ever, but a run in with croup while teething has turned him into somewhat of a mama's boy.
  • Waves hi/bye
  • Says mama and dada
  • He's a big eater and wants to be so independent. He gave up on babyfood a long time ago and insists on eating what we are, which is fine with me. He is stubborn though that he wants to be the one to put it in. If I put a piece of something in his mouth he will spit it out and put it back in himself, if it's something with a spoon he wants to hold the spoon with me while I put it in his mouth.
