For the party I got little wood cutouts for the kids to decorate with markers and stickers. I had cars, princess, and just generic stars and stuff. Of course this was Addie's she had to make sure it was all cars and she didn't forget anyone.
Here's Addie blowing out her candles, she didn't need any help this year she knew just what to do...it only took her three tries to get all of them out.
Here are the party decorations, we finally hung pink balloons from our Cars streamers to girl it up a bit.
Now to the presents. Addie got this fun game, she is supposed to jump over the bee. It was a little frustrating for everyone involved to teach her that so now she just runs away from the bee.
Here she is in her princess dress, she was wearing them all over the house yesterday. We have this wonderful pink one....
Sorry random picture of Demzi pulling a weird face while shaking the balloons around.
And then she got this green one (and if you can't tell, my mom got Addie makeup for her birthday...she was so excited, it even had green eyeshadow)
Here she is at her party opening presents.
Sunday, her actual birthday, opening the presents that we got her.

Here she is trying to show me that she is 3....we'll have to work on that one a bit more.

Here's Addie's new Cars sleeping bag (that she was able to take camping with us and therefore threw up on)
She also got some little matchbox cars that look like the characters from cars that she now sleeps with every night. The day after her party she was wired, "Hey mom, lets play cars for a little second, or maybe princess puzzles and then my Strawberry Shortcake since she has a kitty." All the while I was thinking, it's 6 I'm not sure I'm ready for this much energy yet.
It's funny how much I've realized in the past few weeks that Addie is growing like crazy. She says stuff to me pretty much on a daily basis that I just wonder where in the world that came from. My favorite was the other morning when she climbed in my bed (again at 6) and said, "Hey mom, why don't we just talk to each other for a little second because, well, what's that?" Then I have to think if I have ever said anything like that or if this is just her personality that I get to see more and more of. I think I was as excited as Addie this year for her birthday just because she seems to experience things so much more as her understanding grows.
