Parties and Teething

This weekend we went to the first of our summer parties! Nate turned one and had a party hat themed celebration. Not so sure about the hat at first, but then she thought it was okay.

Noelle and daddy being good sports and wearing their hats. Apparantly it is way too much to ask for Noelle to smile and look at the camera at the same time these days. She is way too busy looking around for that!
It's been a rocky week with what we think is teething pain (so far in the last two days she has chewed on the ottoman, a laundry basket, a comb, pretzels, and her toys, so I'm pretty sure it's teething!), so there has been a lot of fun whining and clingyness combined with a bunch of snot and the need for her nebulizer again. I am so ready for teething to be over!

Noelle is also into small spaces lately and wants to crawl into anything and then put all her toys in with her! Silly girl!
She also helped daddy powerwash the deck this weekend in preparation for her party coming up. I'm not sure how much "help" she was, but she did think it was fun and now the deck looks great!

That's all that's going on around here. Hopefully we'll get some cuter pictures this weekend.

A big day

It was a pretty big day for Miss Noelle today. She started the day with a little playdate swimming. I'm not sure what this face is all about because she LOVED it!

And then we had a little baby playdate with Emily, Connor, and Nate. Do you like our matching watermelon cuties?

And tonight was Noelle's (hopefully) final bottle forever. I might shed a little tear later over that one.

It was a fun day and now someone is so tired that she is not wanting to go to sleep. Hopefully she'll crash for the night soon!

Just silliness

This morning marked the day of Noelle's switch to regular milk. Our doctor recommended switching to 2% first and Noelle seemed to like it! Tonight will be her last night-time bottle (we hope) which makes us a little sad, but I think she's ready. Noelle thinks she's such a big girl when we let her sit at the table

and she's so helpful when I make the bed (ha!)

Last night when I wasn't looking she made a few additions to the bathtub:

Do you like the diaper and outfit floating about? She thought it was great!
She looks so cute and little sitting on the king size bed- love it!
I had to get a picture of her taking one of her final bottles this week. Only 2 more weeks till she turns one!

Happy 1st Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day Travis! Thanks for being such a wonderful, loving "da-da" to Noelle!

This weekend we went to Ennis to see Travis' parents and Noelle had a great time crawling all over everything and playing her heart out.

Noelle is VERY into cell phones. She likes to hold them up to her ear and say "Eh, Eh?" over and over. We're not quite sure what "eh" means, but it's pretty funny anyway!

She got to be spoiled by her grandparents and her great Pa this weekend.

And she's still a mess!! This is what happens when she unpacks your suitcase for you!

And I'll leave you with a cute pic from this morning- why have just one cup when you can have 2!! And your cell phone close- by of course!

Definitely part monkey

This little monkey likes to climb over, around, under, and through ANYTHING. I'm pretty sure she spends hours of everyday climbing on something (highchair, boxes, car seat, toys, stroller). She is so silly!
Tonight she discovered the storage ottoman....

and quickly decided to climb right in and get cozy!

Love the major concentration on her face!

Typical Noelle

Noelle loves fabric of any texture, color, or size. She pretty much always has since she was a little bitty baby girl. This video is very typical Noelle behavior with blankets, towels, clothes, or anything soft she can get her hands on. She will move them all around and arrange them "just so" and then start over again. Silly baby!

Noelle

These are some of the many sweet faces I see everyday. This precious look is the teething, grumpy look with massive quantities of drool pouring out!!! You can almost hear her growling can't you? She growls when she's in pain instead of crying! She's an original! And this one is why we call her big blue. Love it!!
And this is my sweet little smiling 11 month old baby girl who just learned to say ma-ma yesterday, so my smile is as big as her's!!!

And here's a little video for the grandparent's delight! Happy Wednesday!

Happy Sunday

I haven't taken too many pics lately, but since I know the grandparents and great grandparents will want a baby fix- here you go!

Noelle likes to help daddy play his guitar at night. She loves any kind of music. Gramps and GiGi brought her some zinnias this weekend and she had a great time looking and touching them.

She played with her friends Caleb and Bryce. She loves trying to keep up with the big kids!

Travis and I got new bedroom furniture this week and she's enjoying opening and closing all the drawers to inspect the contents.
She had her first corn on the cob and thought that was great fun. I think it felt good on her gums. She's getting her incisors (spelling?) and that has made for a very rough few days and nights around here. I feed like my newborn is back! Hopefully this will pass soon.

And she's still up to her old tricks of climbing in and out (and in and out and in and out and in and out) of her car seats for long periods of time.

Hopefully I will take some more interesting pictures this week, but that's all I've got for now!

11 months old!

I know I'm a day early, but since I'll be working Wednesday and Thursday this week I decided to go ahead and post. Our baby girl will be 11 months old tomorrow! I can NOT believe that. Only 1 more month to go till her first birthday, that is just crazy to me.
Noelle was extremely cooperative for her monkey pictures, so I actually got a couple of good ones this time.

At 11 months old Noelle:
-is still into absolutely everything. And she is SPEEDY at crawling! She's definitely gotten her share of bumps and bruises the last month because she's just crawling and exploring like crazy.
-wears 12 month and some 18 month clothes, weighs 21 lbs. 8 oz., and wears size 4 diapers. And the girl is seriously tall!
-she has 6 teeth (4 bottom, 2 top) and would eat all day long if I would let her. We are currently at 3 meals and 3 bottles a day.
-takes 2 long naps and sleeps 11 hours at night. And does NOT like to be woken up!!
-loves to stand up. Her theory is why sit when you can stand? She just stands up all the time. She has taken a few hesitant baby steps here and there, but is mostly content to rely on her super speedy crawling skills.
-has definitely had her strong willed personality come shining through! She knows the meaning of "no" but doesn't always like to hear it! We will definitely be working on discipline and boundaries sooner than I would have thought!

-knows what a lot of words mean (bear, baby doll, toothbrush, ball, bunny, book, etc.) and talks up a storm- we don't always know what she is saying, but she is definitely having "conversations" with us. She calls Travis "dadeeee" and me "na-na."
-loves to play peek a boo, patty cake, and be "chased" all over the house with us crawling after her.
-she has such a fun, adventerous spirit and it is so fun to watch her explore everything! We love you baby girl!!

Such a helper

Noelle would like to "assist" with just about anything you want to do, so tonight I popped her up on the counter to "help" make pizza! First she "poured" some sauce out of her jar and then she "helped" spread it around.
Wow, such a helper!

Creating pizza was hard work- so she had to chill out and enjoy her crust! She loves climbing into her carseat and reading or playing in there.

This afternoon she was a little crabby, so she settled in with daddy and some snacks to watch a little golf. For some reason she really likes golf.

Yesterday we had a fun swimming playdate. Noelle is VERY into standing so she spent the majority of her pool time standing up. I think she was plotting to steal the ball from Nate in this pic!
Our little swimmers!

It has already been so hot that I have resorted to letting little missy crawl around with just her diaper. Who would think I would ever let her not be all dressed up?!? I do put a hairbow on with her diaper sometimes- just so she feels pretty :)
Sweet baby has been such a MESS lately! She wants to help "feed" herself with a spoon and it is so messy! I don't want to discourage her, though, because she is trying really hard. So I've resorted to keeping a bottle of baby wash by the kitchen sink, since she's been getting 1 or 2 impromptu baths a day!
