Ft. Worth Fun

We had a fun day in Ft. Worth today. We loaded up early in Mrs. Jill's new van and off we went to the Ft. Worth Children's Museum and Stockshow.
2 toddlers strapped in ready to roll!
Nate and Noelle really do love spending time together!

Noelle had a good time shopping for "matos and acados" (tomato and avocado).
 And her favorite- cheese!

She was not shy about climbing into the exhibits!
But I'm not sure they quite wanted her to do this!!

She LOVES playing with the old Tinker Toys at the museam
Today they had a special lights area to teach the kiddos about different types of lights, colors, and mirrors.
They had a massive Light Bright that the kids loved! I need one of those at home!

Then we made our way over to the petting zoo at the Stockshow. It was a little tiny (and smelly) and I'm pretty sure those animals were well sedated, but it was free!

She really liked the horns on the goats.
It was fun, but she definitely smells like a stinky farm animal! And now she has brought her potty seat and multiple other items out of the bathroom into the office, so perhaps I should go supervise her!!

Silly baby

Noelle has taken to playing with the most random things around the house. This morning she found this lantern and carried it everywhere. She looks so cute with her little barely awake morning eyes!

She was extremely fascinated by it!
Her new favorite thing to do is take ALL the spices out of the cabinet. I have a love/hate with this. It keeps her busy while I cook dinner which is great, but it usually results in the need for the dust buster a little when she's done.
 Surveying her work.
But in her defense, she does clean it all up while singing the "clean up" song which is pretty cute.
Sweet baby was giving me some cute smiles in the tub tonight!
Tomorrow we are going to the museum and Ft. Worth stock show so hopefully I'll have some cute pictures from that!

Noelle's stats

Last Friday Noelle had her 18 month check-up. Other than a viral rash she was actually HEALTHY at this well check (that hasn't happened in awhile). Well, she was still on antibiotics from her sinus infection, but overall a healthy girl.
 At 18 months Noelle is:
-33 1/2 inches tall (92nd percentile)
-weighs 24 lbs 14 oz (50th percentile)
-head circumference is 46 cm (35th percentile)
She had a good check up overall, but needs to increase her calcium intake (she's not a huge milk fan), so there will be a lot of yogurt consumed at our house! Hooray for YoBaby drinkable yogurt! We also changed her allergy medicine. Most importantly she didn't have an ear infection even after having a yucky sinus infection all week!
Missy Noelle was looking cool in her shades today! It was super nice weather and she loved chasing all the ducks outside!

Happy Tuesday!

Tuesdays are my favorite day of the week with Miss Noelle! First of all she slept in till 8:40 am today! On Tuesdays we start the day with gymnastics, then go to the library, and finish it off with a girl's lunch at McAlisters. We have so much fun!

This girl LOVES "nastics" (gymnastics) class!

Sweet baby ate ALL her big girl sandwich today- yum!
She was being so silly in the car today- I think it was all her happiness from sleeping 13 hours straight last night!
Of course, usually the car ride ends like this because she is so tired out from her morning.
Here's a little video of my silly girl. She was playing peekaboo with her Teddy Grahams by sicking them under her legs. And as an early interpretation- she calls me "nonnie" (not sure why since she knows how to make an "m" sound) and she is telling me her name, too.
Well, little missy has confiscated my camera while I was typing and is now kissing her image on the screen, so I better go rescue it!

Noelle LOVES to play with my camera. She will hold it up to her face or my face and say "cheeeese!" But when I hold the camera and try to get a smile- no way! This is what I get:
And this:

 And this:
Oh my! She is so silly about having her picture taken!! Her buddy Nate came over today and they had a blast running around and playing together. They have such a fun time together and are always sad when it comes to an end. How cute is my little Junior Ranger in her hat?
 Silly friends playing "night-night"
Are they cute or what? It's so much fun having friends in the neighborhood.
Today I got to pick Noelle up from school for the first time since she started in September! Usually one of the teachers brings her home since I was working. It was so much fun to go in and see her sound asleep all tucked in on her little nap-mat! She looked so cute! I'm looking forward to picking her up everyday!

We're back!

Noelle says "did you miss me??" Well, we survived the week! And what a week it was! I put in an almost 40 hour week of training at my new job, plus a sick baby, and a lot of childcare coordination. But thanks to a few days off on Travis' part, good neighbors, fun Aunt Bonnie, and lots of fun with the grandparents- we made it!
Today we've been doing a lot of household chores that have been neglected all week. Noelle had a great time helping me clean out the fridge!
And this afternoon it warmed up enough for her to go outside for the first time in a couple of weeks- she was THRILLED!
She helped her daddy do all his yardwork.

And visited her favorite next door neighbor dog!
 Long- lost pals!
Next week will still be busy, but better than this one. My first nightshift is a week from today- hope I remember what to do!
