Baby Boy Nash

Since I've been much busier having a toddler around during this pregnancy, I haven't really blogged much about this new little one. So here's a few little tid-bits about this pregnancy.

Here's a pic from Christmas Eve ~27 1/2 weeks along.
-I was super nauseous/tired throughout the first 14 weeks again, just like the first time. Only this time around the only thing that made it better was to eat all the time. With Noelle, I couldn't eat and lost weight, but not this time! I had to eat all the time and have gained a lot more weight from the get-go. I still could eat all day long. I'm just hungry all the time.

-I could feel him move much earlier this time. He's pretty active in the mornings (early) and between 9 -10pm. He is a STRONG mover in there.

-I knew very early on that he was a boy. I would have extremely vivid dreams about seeing him, holding him, and naming him; so it was no surprise to me at the ultrasound.

-I have had CRAZY dreams throughout this pregnancy. Just weird, random things.

-I have had a lot more back pain and shortness of breath with him, which could lead to a LONG last 12 1/2 weeks!

-I'm already fairly uncomfortable at night. I'm a stomach or back sleeper and neither is possible at this stage, so I feel like I flop back and forth, side to side every hour. When I'm not going to the bathroom that is :)

-There's really nothing in particular that I can't tolerate food-wise. I don't really want to go anywhere near fish or shrimp, but other than that I'm good.

-His nursery is essentially done, I'll post some pics of that soon once I get the last few pictures on the wall.

That's all I can think of for now, but with my forgetful pregnancy brain who knows what I left out!

Santa Claus is coming to town!

I already have so many pictures from the past 2 days to blog about, but we're going to start small :) Santa arrived via helicopter to our church on Sunday night, so we decided to go check it out.
Santa, Mrs. Claus, elves, Rudolph, and Frosty made a prompt arrival in the church parking lot!

Watching for Santa's helicopter.

Starting to look a little unsure once he landed.

This would be our preacher, Pastor Jeff, dressed up as an elf. Too funny!

He was the only person Noelle would let close enough for a picture.

She liked them all from a distance.

Still not so sure of the big guy up close.

It was really cool to see and hopefully something we can do every year. Maybe she'll even learn to not be afraid of him one of these years!

The Polar Express

Last year Gramps heard about a train ride in Grapevine modeled after the Polar Express. We didn't get a chance to go last year, but this year it worked out.

It's a really cool vintage train and train station just 10 minutes from our new house.

Noelle was excited to ride the bus from the parking lot to the train station. All the kids wore pajamas which was really cute.

Some GENIUS person thought to have a contained play area of riding toys to entertain the kids while you wait for your turn to ride the train.

Noelle (and baby) thought it was AWESOME. She played in there for a long time. Baby doll goes with us lots of places these days. Not sure why she doesn't like to wear clothes, though :)

They had a cute little singing show while you waited to board.

Somebody had to borrow daddy's glasses because it was about 75 degrees and bright sunshine that day (in DECEMBER!).

Walking through the snow and tree tunnel to the train.

Noelle, Daddy, and Gramps.

GiGi and Gramps.

Ready to board the train. She was already over me taking pictures!

They had the trains decorated really nicely.

Riding in comfort!

They had carolers come to your car and sing Christmas songs while you were riding along.

This face sums up her thoughts on Santa! She likes him to keep his distance!

But this Santa brought a really nice souvenir bell that she loved, so that worked out.

I love her face in the next two pictures. She was fascinated with that bell!

Watching the scenery. She has a strange fascination with PortaPotties these days. We see them a lot because of all the highway construction around us and she was so excited to spot one out the window of the train. It's weird, I know. She especially gets excited when she spots one that's a different color than we've seen before.

Drinking (and spilling) her hot cocoa after the ride. And by hot cocoa, I mean sugar, sugar, SUGAR with a little chocolate- that stuff was sweeeeeeet!

And of course baby doll needed a final ride.

It was a very fun, Christmas-y thing to do and Noelle LOVED it. She's already asked me several times if she can go back when she's 4,5,6,7.....all the way to 20 she says (except she always skips the number 15 silly thing!). She may be the oldest "kid" in pajamas by then.

Yesterday I organized a trip to a local nursing home with our MOPS group. Noelle was dressed up and ready to go! Even though she really didn't understand what a nursing home was :)

I'm so glad her friend from church was there because he took the shyness right out of her and they sang their little hearts out- motions and all!

Rocking baby Jesus for Away In A Manger.

The residents loved it so much that we kept having to think of new songs to sing just to keep the kids up there.

After that we passed out gifts to those in attendance.

Noelle was very good about saying "Merry Christmas" to everyone, but not too enthusiastic about letting anyone touch on her/ hug her. It went really well and we will have to try it again sometime!
