We have been enjoying some very comfortable August mornings lately. We are very fortunate not to be having the usual sweltering Texas heat with Collin in his helmet.

All of a sudden this week Noelle has decided she wants to hold "my baby" all the time.

They sure do love each other and I'm pretty sure his thighs are bigger than hers!

She seems to have woken up with a little summer cold and I found her looking pitiful on the couch this morning.

Little man is learning to sit up, but when he falls over it sure is nice to have a comfy place to land!

She was so upset when I picked him up from her!

And Collin is putting those sturdy thighs to good use learning to sit up!

Big boy!

Collin's helmet

We got Collin's band on Friday and a sweet artist at church was nice enough to decorate it for us this morning. I think it turned out GREAT! His name and a football on front.
And a cute little lion with a baseball on the back. She coordinated it with his bedding.

The boys in their blue!

We can kiss his little noggin on top. He's tolerating it well so far, some redness and definitely sweaty, but overall doing well. Starting tomorrow he will be in it for 23 hours a day.

The kids

It's just a mystery to us why Collin doesn't enjoy tummy time more!

This girl always has a song coming out of her mouth. She sings all day long. In this one she is singing "hi ho the dairy oh, I'm jamming Collin's feet" which then progresses into "I'm wiggling Collin's feet." He's never bored with her around!

Sibling sweets

I've managed to get some cute pics of these two this week. She is so good with her brother. This morning I just watched them while he was in the swing and she was just talking to him, kissing him, and hugging on him. And he was just watching her every move and grinning at her like crazy.

Of course the stinker is as big as her! This morning she was in the living room with him and I heard "Ummm mommy? Something smells really stinky in here and I think it's Collin!" And boy was she right. I forgot about the joys of starting oatmeal/veggies!

My two lovies watching Baby Einstein.

The both LOVE to swing at the park. He likes to just watch her swing as much as he loves the actual swinging. He just grins and laughs at her!

Random posts 2

Here's volume 2 of this post. My phone is just being nuts! Noelle got this Lego set for her birthday and she has loved it. And I love that you can make so many things with one set of Legos. We just use daddy's IPad to look up the directions. It seriously keeps her entertained for an hour at a time. So mommy loves it, too!

I was taking Collin for a walk yesterday and she decided kitty needed a walk, too. You can just imagine how long that did (not) last :)

How sad is it that this skinny mini can fit into the Bumbo more easily than brother bear can?

Sometimes she still looks so little and happy floating along pretending to be an airplane on the walk home. I love it!

Gramps and the chubbs had some bonding time today. He was in the greatest mood today.....and hopefully uses that happiness to sleep all night!

Random Pics 1

So, I'm having issues with BlogPress, so this blog post will be in a series of three posts. I know I take lots of pics of these two and this is probably more than anyone but myself and the grandparents want to see, but I have LOVED looking back at pics of Noelle from that blur of the first year of her life, so I'm just going to post as many as I want :)

Sleeping Beauty here was taking a LONG nap this week and I needed to get her up so I decided to start some sibling fun. I had Collin all over her before that sleepy head would wake up. When she's out, she's OUT.

Unfortunately, if you look closely at this picture, you will see the lovely trail of spit up on Noelle's chest. She was NOT pleased about this!

These two cuddle bugs with their special blankies.

My little sink baby. He's home with no sister tonight and he was being just precious. Travis and I are both so sad to have that little noggin covered with a helmet for 8-10 weeks. I mean I am seriously sad about it. I'm hoping the time flies, but he's only little for such a short time and I just can't stand the thought of not being able to rub that little peach fuzz head. Oh well.

5 Months Old!

This big guy is 5 months old today! Time is just flying by. We love our chubby bunny so much!
As you can tell he's mostly a happy, smiling guy unless he's tired/hungry.

And he's become an expert hair puller! And pincher- sister is good at saying "Coooooolllllliiiiiiinnnnnn NO!" She can make his name into lots of syllables!

But she loves him dearly and interacts with him so well!

At 5 months old:

-We are pretty much sleeping through the night. He's only had 1 night time feeding in the last week . He still wakes up some, but mostly puts himself back to sleep and sometimes we have to put the paci in.

-He goes to bed around 7:30 or 8 and gets up at 6:30-6:45ish.

-He nurses 4-5 times a day, still with a bottle in the morning. Most days he's having oatmeal at dinner time and yesterday he got to sample some carrots at lunch.

- On his best days he naps 3 times a day (long morning, medium afternoon, short late afternoon catnap) and is getting better at going down for naps.

- Likes a paci/lovey when it's time to sleep and rubs the lovey all over his head to put himself to sleep.

-Smiles and laughs everyday.

-Absolutely loves to watch Noelle and won't take his eyes off of her a lot of the time if she's in the room.

-He still loves his feet the best!

-Can roll from back to side or from side to tummy, but can't do the full roll on his own.

-Grabs for toys and can pass them hand to hand.

-Still spits up numerous times a day.

-Loves the Exercauser and Bumbo and can tripod sit a little bit.

-He's a really good car baby, barely fusses in the car seat.

-We go Friday to get his DocBand helmet for his plagiocephaly, we'll see how he does with that. Should be in it for 8-10 weeks.

These pictures are a random assortment of what our days look like.

Collin is very into watching Noelle these days. And she is very into being a mother hen to him sometimes! He gives her a big grin when he sees her. We finally moved a step stool beside his bed so that Noelle could reach him.

Little naked tush after a pretty awful diaper change! Noelle also loves to change his wet diapers for me (with assistance).

He has had a few days where he is just plain MAD! I don't know I'd it's teething or what, but he wore this face a lot on Wednesday.

He still loves that Bumbo, but it always makes him poop or throw up so we have to use it with caution!

Sweet morning cuddles.

And this sweet girl has been such a good kiddo this summer. I know she has missed school and her friends and getting undivided attention, but she has handled it all so well.

And she has a Natural Cheetos obsession. She made up and sang me a sing about her live of Cheetos this week. Since her actual favorite foods are tomatoes and strawberries, I'm not too worried about it!

And look who can handle being a propped up sitter!

He stole my remote!

Hi there snuggle bunny!

4 and 4

I realized this morning that I only have one more week of having a 4 year old and a 4 month old, so we did a little photo shoot this morning! Enjoy!
