Thanksgiving

This year we had double Thanksgivings. We started out the week in Ennis for a couple of days and then ended the week in Paris for a couple of days.

Noelle (and baby sister) were ready for some Thanksgiving turkey!
Smiling cute with daddy.....

And being difficult for mommy!

She played a little post dinner (and post big nap) football with daddy.

In Paris she latched on to all the animals immediately, of course.

And a trip to Paris wouldn't be complete without the harassment of the cat (who has mellowed out significantly toward her over the years, that or he's just too tired to run away).

She sampled all the goodies I was baking.

And this is the most kid friendly dog in the world. She can carry him, hold him, flip him upside down and sideways, hold him like a baby, and Rowdy just sits there and takes it in stride.

Swinging baby sister.

We attempted a few family pictures that day and got a couple of decent ones in the bunch. Always a feat with a toddler.

Big, cheesy Noelle smile!

Playtime with the cousins.

She loved stalking the neighbor's cat!

And the tree is up at our house! We're ready for the next holiday!

I've got a variety of pictures on my phone to clear out and here are some of the cuter ones.

The other day she drew a picture of Gigi's cat. She got the proportions right on because he is one fat cat.

And then she drew Gigi and Gramps puppies of course.

I arranged my nativity set so nicely the other day only to find my toddler worked her usual magic and decided everything must be perfectly lined up.

We inherited a cute Baylor cheerleader outfit from Harper and Noelle loves it!

Noelle spent Wednesday morning giving baby sister a checkup. She was diagnosed with an ear infection, of course!

The girls

Today my friend Sarah brought her daughter Harper down to have a girls only playdate! Noelle was thrilled and we had a great time going out to lunch. Can these girls pose for the camera or what? ???

Today was Noelle's surgery day. It started bright and early. Once they gave her a "ballerina gown" she was sold on the place! And then once she got her "giggle juice" aka versed, she was quite the laid back chick.

She had to be intubated and have an IV this time, but they didn't do it till she was sleeping, so she did great.

Afterwards she was fascinated by her pulse ox and face mask.

Then they broke out the Popsicles and she was happy, happy, happy!

When it was time to leave the hospital she was SO UPSET!! She screamed and screamed to go back to the hospital. I think she loved all the attention, gowns, giggle juice, and three popsicles!

She was tough to keep quiet and resting, and I finally gave up after nap time! She does not love her ear drops, but luckily we only have two more days left.

Halloween

Wednesday night Noelle got dressed up and ready for trick or treating!
She was supposed to wear the lovely ladybug costume I had spent forever making, but after two days of making trips to the doctor instead of napping, she was D-O-N-E. So instead of enduring (yet another) fit, I let her wear the princess costume that she wanted.

She felt so big going up to knock on the door.

After going to a few houses, we loaded up and headed to a carnival at a church down the stree. Noelle shocked me by saying she wanted to ride the ponies.

Noelle loves riding horses, in theory, but anytime you get her close to one she quickly panics and backs out. I think the purple saddle won her over!

She was very brave and rode two times (you can't see, but she was shaking a little!), but after that it got crowded and they wouldn't let parents in anymore. That was the end of her wanting to ride!

But as usual, she found a big inflatable slide to enjoy!

Yesterday we headed to our preschool director's house for the annual Fall Party. Yep, I'm wearing sleevelss in November because it was almost 90 degrees outside.

This was the first year that she actually loved the hay ride. Usually it ends in tears, but this year she had a blast!

Two thumbs up!

The preschool pumpkin roll was madness, but they all had fun.

Instead of rolling she used hers as a soccer ball,

And then decided it would be faster to pick it up and RUN!

Sadly that was the end of the party for us. She got a sticker in her foot and just lost it. The combination of not feeling 100% (sick all week), being over hot, and no nap (I was skipping it in hopes that time change wouldn't be so bad) were just too much for her.  So we were the parents hauling the screaming toddler out under our arms. The joys of parenthood :)

This is the cross Noelle made at Mission Friends tonight. She LOVE Mission Friends and looks forward to it every Sunday. She's also very into patterns (or "patterins" as she calls them) and thinks that lining up any sort of objects makes a "patterin." Funny girl!
