Christmas Decorations 2011

The favorite decoration this year was Noellie's new pink Christmas tree! A very fun find on super sale at Kohl's. She loved it. It was so fun to decorate for Christmas this year. Last year I didn't do much since Noelle was still not completely steady on her feet and into everything.
The nativity set mom and dad got me when Travis and I got married.

Noelle's advent calendar. She did it all herself and had a great time!

My fun Pintrest J-O-Y. So easy and fun.

I love decorating with extra Christmas balls. And we have tons left from our wedding reception decorations, so that works out well.

The crystal nativity scene I inherited from my Grandmother.

The small tree with all Noelle's handmade decorations from school.

More fun Christmas decorations from our wedding went in our room.

Hooray the big tree got to go up this year!

Noelle's Christmas picture and more fun decorations I got from mom and Grandmother.

It's been fun having everything up, but I'm not looking forward to taking it all down. I think I'll wait till someone goes back to school next week :)

Christmas #3

On Christmas Day the fun started all over again! We woke up to see if Santa had come. Noelle likes Santa in theory, but is quick to tell you that she doesn't want Santa to hold her and that he can just come while she's sleeping.

She was excited to see what Santa brought...
A very exciting new Minnie Mouse friend. She liked her a lot once we reassured her that Minnie wouldn't talk (SERIOUSLY afraid of talking toys).

Playing with her new golf set from Santa.

And a couple of cute dress up hats.

Nothing like holding Minnie, while wearing an elephant hat, AND rocking on Butterscotch.

And then having Rascal join in!

After that it was off to see Grammie, Sport, and Great Pa! My little cutie sitting patiently by her first present!

She was excited (and mommy was too) about her cookwear set. Now she will be an even bigger "helper" in the kitchen.

Fun blocks!

More fun kitchen gadgets for mommy! I'm going to need to find some more recipes!

Getting some snuggles while waiting for her play food.

She was really excited about her new pink scooter and took of riding immediately!

There she goes!

Tired girl snuggling with daddy after all the present fun.

I think we're going to need a Christmas detox after all that good fun! It was a very fun and blessed Christmas and we were happy to get to see all our families!

Christmas #2

Christmas Eve morning this little one was up and ready to go! I was happy to get a good picture of her in front of the tree.
Then she was up to the front bedroom to wait for GiGi, Gramps, Aunt Bonnie, Great Grandpa, Great Grandmother, and Rowdy and Rascal. She waited up there for 10 minutes because she was so excited that it was finally Christmas!

Here's Rowdy and Rascal looking cute in their Christmas collars with Gramps. In the past Noelle has been a little nervous around them, but she was super excited this time. She kept saying "Aww, awwwwww. It's a baby puppy, it's a cute puppy!"

Looking cute in her new pig hat from Aunt Bonnie. She tries to keep Noelle styling!
And speaking of styling, Travis will be looking good after his Christmas clothing haul!

Noelle actually did a lot better than expected taking turns with gift opening and saying thank you. It's just a tough life being the only child and grandchild on both sides of the family!

I'm super excited about my new KitchenAid mixer! Way to go Aunt Bonnie! Seriously, I love to cook these days and I'm really excited about any kitchen gadget.

Noelle and her playdough set from her great grandparents.

"Helping" GiGi out with her presents.

Hi Aunt Bonnie!

And a couple of group shots thanks to Travis remembering to take them!

Noelle, Great Grandmother, and Rascal.

After dinner it was time to make cookies for Santa. Noelle is always pretending to cook with the sprinkles and was pretty excited about actually getting to use them. The next day she told Grammie all about using the pink sprinkles "by myself!" EVERYTHING is " by myself" these days.

She thought it would be fun to take the dogs for a spin in her baby stroller.

The poor dogs! This did not end well for them!

At the end of the day I attempted to get a family shot, but the toddler was D-O-N-E having her picture made.

So instead she played with her new playdough set for almost an hour! I think that's a record! She made us lots of noodles!

What a fun day!

Christmas #1

On Friday we celebrated our immediate family Christmas. We started the day by making the Pioneer Woman's Cinnamon Rolls. There was an intense amount of butter and sugar involved!
I ended up with 8 pans total.

They were delicious! I didn't get a picture of any of them frosted, but they were worth the effort!

That night we opened our presents.

Little miss was pretty excited about everything she got, but.....

She loved this guy the best:

This is Butterscotch and her Barbie cowgirl costume!

She saw this horse months ago at Sam's Club and we have had to visit the horses on a weekly basis until they finally sold them. She was SO happy to get one of her own.

She is terrified of toys that talk/move, so I had to take his batteries out. That's why you hear her say he has "snappers" on his ears in this video. He only snaps, no longer talks!
My sweet little cowgirl!
