Fun on the Farm

Last week we loaded up our crew and drove to visit some dear friends on their farm in Tennessee. It was such a great couple days together as our littles ran around while husband and I caught up with Caleb and Aimee. It's amazing that so much time can pass between visits, yet we don't lose a beat. Definitely a testament to solid friendships. The setting was ideal for camping with kids so the dads pitched tents for June, Leigh and Eli to sleep under the stars while Jase, Remy and Peter slept soundly in the house with the mommas. Ever since Andrew became a dad, he's looked forward to taking his kids camping. I'm so thankful that he and E got to experience it together. It brings a smile to my face knowing that last week's adventure is a memory they will both cherish forever.

Twins: 6 Months

It's hard for me to believe my boys are already celebrating their half~birthdays! What a fast six months it has been. The days keep getting better because the boys are interacting more and our weekly schedule has become routine. Jase has mastered the plank position and can scoot backwards fairly well. He can pull himself forward as he reaches for toys, too. What you and I know as crawling has yet to occur but it's fun watching him pull up on his belly. Remy likes being on his stomach but is still content on his back as well. I know that once they're both mobile, my world will change forever so I'm in no hurry. They love the exersaucer most and will play in that for a good thirty minutes before needing a change of scenery. Still only one tooth for Jase and none for Remy. We started rice cereal with the twins and they both seem to like the idea of real food. Fruits and veggies are next. Both are smiley little fellows with sweet personalities.

Boo at the Zoo

Each year we look forward to visiting the zoo for their annual Halloween Party. Eli decided he wanted to be a fireman again so I thought it would be cute if the twins were red hot chili peppers. Get it? I think my crew looked pretty good! We met up with Alex and Greta for a fun evening gathering candy and admiring life~size characters. Such a great tradition!

Fall Festival

By far one of our favorite activities this time of year is the Foxhollow Farm Fall Festival. The weather was nothing short of glorious over the weekend which made the crowds come out in droves. Luckily, E and I timed our outing perfectly and had a wonderful date together on the farm.
