Year in Review

It's crazy to me the amount of things we can pack into 365 days. This calendar year was more trying than most, but also one of the most memorable and fun. Our boys are healthy and active. Our marriage is full of generosity and grace. We love our new home and feel so blessed to have just spent our first Christmas together in it. Here are some other highlights:
  • Skiing with Andrew and Eli in Winter Park to ring in the new year
  • UK basketball and football season
  • Derby weekend with my best friends from UK and sisters in town
  • Colorado Springs with the entire Bachman crew
  • Trips to Vegas, New York and Chicago
  • Enjoying the state fair, zoo, science center and multiple festivals with our crew
  • Norton family vacation to Edisto Beach
  • Watching our kids grow in their love of golf, baseball and swimming
  • Moving into our forever home
  • Celebrating ten years of marriage with a week long Mexican vacation with my man
  • Visiting Drew's alma mater {Wake Forest} with our boys
  • Encouraging Dean as he learns to walk, talk and discover new things
  • Welcoming new friends: Billie, Tucker, Vance, Damian, Jack, Rhett, Preston, Enoch, Lilah
Cheers to 2019

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

No doubt the Christmas season has lots to offer; we take full advantage with a full calendar. We have been busy having the best holiday and can't believe December went so fast. We did all the things and are thankful for so many wonderful memories made this year.

I Heart Christmas

We've been visiting the Galt House in December for the past seven years now. It's always a fun day filled with time with Santa, holiday crafts/games, and joyful rides on the Peppermint Express. This year we had a great morning with Greta and the Norton side of our family. The kids loved being together and couldn't stop smiling {except for Dean who does not like the Big Guy.}

Let's Hear it for New York

There's nothing quite like Christmastime in the Big Apple. The city comes alive when the best New York attractions transform into festive winter wonderlands and that's exactly what my family and I experienced during our long weekend in the city. The Rockefeller Christmas tree is probably the most beaming and brilliant symbol of the holiday season. We loved visiting the Norway spruce and couldn't resist taking lots of pictures around it. One of my favorite things we did was see the Rockettes at Radio City. Their leggy performance, advanced technology and bedazzled costumes were all amazing! Walking around Central Park with Andrew is also a memory I'll hold onto forever. Another highlight for me includes seeing the new Broadway, Mean Girls. The movie is such a classic so I was nervous about seeing it as a musical, but the show was perfectly witty and wise. Such fun! We also got to experience a UK b~ball game in Madison Square Garden, which as a sports fan, is pretty incredible. Our last night together was a cold one on the water. We took a harbor cruise on the Hudson. It was freezing but neat seeing the Statue of Liberty up close. There's a special place in my heart for NYC and it was really special experiencing it alongside my parents and siblings. Truly magical!
