Southern Charm
While at the beach each year, husband and I are lucky enough to venture to Charleston, one of our favorite cities. Andrew's sweet parents volunteer to watch our kids so we can sneak away for the day. It's precious time together and always one of my favorite days of vacation. Our admiration of the Holy City grows deeper each visit. Although each trip boasts amazing personal reviews, we continue to try new restaurants and do new things. This time we started with a delicious lunch at 167 Raw before enjoying a harbor cruise. It was a hot and humid day so being on the water was really nice. Wandering the streets of Charleston is one of our favorite things; the city has the most beautiful homes and architecture. As a result, we spent the remainder of the day roaming around South of Broad, French Quarter and Upper King while indulging in treats at Jeni's before dinner at FIG. Somehow the day turned in to night and before we knew it, we were headed back to reality. So thankful for an entire day to explore with my love.

Carolina on my Mind
Traveling to South Carolina with Andrew's parents has become one of our favorite family traditions. We love being together and it's a great way to wrap up summer. Just like years past {1, 2, 3}, we rented a house at Edisto Beach and enjoyed an entire week surrounded by sun and sand. After slow mornings, we ventured to our backyard to play by the ocean. All three boys loved the water and I'm thankful for low tide when the boys could run around without being fearful of them being swallowed by waves. Everyone played hard and slept well. Thankful for a really fun {and somehow restful} vacation with our crew.
