Wild at Heart

Don't tell Eli, but while he's in school, the twins and I have been busy doing some fun things around town, most recently spending a day at the zoo. Since we avoid the zoo during the summer due to the crowds and heat, our visit this week was perfect. Jase and Remy loved it all, especially the gorillas and kangaroos. Interacting with the lorikeets was a lot of fun too since they had never done that. Thankful for a non~crowded day at the zoo with my mom and these animal~obsessed boys.

Fun at the Fairgrounds

Going to the KY State Fair each year {1, 2, 3, 4} has become one of our favorite family activities. We took advantage of a beautiful day and headed to the fairgrounds after school and naps, respectively. The boys are at the perfect ages to enjoy the Midway as well as the animals. After a few rides, we literally ran into Sara and the girls, which resulted in great fun with our cousins. What a surprise! Then, we indulged in carnival treats before wandering through the exhibits. Highlights were the corndogs, ferris wheel and farm animals. Such a great tradition!

Summer's End

Summer has been busy, but in the best way possible. We took advantage of our time and really enjoyed making memories as a little family. With big changes happening this year, I tried to intentionally slow down and soak in every moment we had together. There were a fair amount of planned activities as well as days we played at home until the sun went down. It was a great mix of new experiences and relaxed downtime. It's hard to say goodbye to summer freedom but we are in a new season of life {big school for E, new baby coming} and I'm trying to welcome it with open arms. Summer, you da best and you'll be missed!

Newest Niece

Excited to introduce y'all to the newest Bachman little... Sutton Grace! This sweet nugget is two weeks old today. She's the cutest baby and we are thrilled for Tannis and Ryan. Watching your little sister become a mom is one of the coolest things. I believe parenthood changes you, in the best way possible. Can't wait to watch baby Sutton grow!
