Year in Review

To say that this year was more trying than others is a complete understatement. No matter your political affiliation, we can all agree that 2020 was hard. We lost freedoms due to COVID~ sports, church, school, restaurants. Our family enjoyed more time together than ever before. In a year that seemed divisive and uncertain, one thing remains constant... our Savior has been born and He is Christ the Lord. I pray you rest in His goodness and come to trust His faithfulness. Here are some highlights from an incredibly wild year:

  • Ringing in the New Year on the slopes in Colorado with the entire Bachman family
  • Visiting Naples with our little family for a spontaneous spring break trip
  • Cheering on Remy, Jase and Eli as they learned to ride bicycles
  • Spending lots of time at Shiloh Five, the Bachman family's new property
  • Watching the twins graduate preschool and start kindergarten
  • Cheering on Eli as he played football for the first time
  • Traveling to Edisto with the Nortons
  • Studying God's word and growing in community with our small group at church
  • Hosting friends and family for cookouts and pool parties
  • Kanakuk Family Kamp with most of the Bachman crew
  • Weekend trips with friends to the Tennessee mountains, Nolin Lake and Nashville
  • Observing Dean's sweet personality as he sings and plays dress up
  • Hiking Rocky National Park with Andrew
  • Celebrating Andrew's 40th birthday with friends at the beach
  • Thanksgiving week spent with family in Ft. Lauderdale
  • Surviving Non Traditional Instruction at Lowe and Remote Learning at CAL
  • All Sports Golf Battles and Nerf gun fights with the boys
  • Welcoming new friends: Georgia, Franklin, Hadley, Bastian, Millie
Cheers to 2021

Holiday Fun

In a year that had the majority of Christmas activities canceled, we still managed to fill our time with friends and family. We are so thankful for such a full month of fun and the wonderful memories made this holiday season. Somehow Christmas 2020 may have just been my favorite yet.

Tubing in the North

Nine boys playing in the snow and racing down the mountain proved to be a great day at Perfect North. It was a fun spot for my guys to try a new winter activity~ snow tubing. Their giggles and squeals were proof that they enjoyed themselves. Eli loved time with his buddies, Remy craved speed, Jase enjoyed floating down the track with his brothers and friends, and Dean was brave enough to ride solo. Proud of them all. Such a fun day with my guys!

Santa Claus is Coming to Town

With restrictions still in place, we weren't sure if the boys were going to be able to visit Santa in the traditional sense this year. They didn't want to visit Saint Nick wearing masks and socially distant {who could blame them?}. Luckily, I discovered that Santa makes house calls! It was the sweetest day watching Father Christmas in my living room. He engaged with each kid individually and asked what they wanted this year {remote control airplanes top my boys' list}. He reminded them that the most important thing about the holidays is spending it with the ones you love. He answered all the questions about the North Pole, reindeer and his favorite cookie. Such a wonderful time watching the kiddos with Santa Claus. Very thankful!
