Football Fan

Sonnet went to her first football game last week. We went to see our cousin cheerlead at the Dixie High School game. Sonnet liked the bright lights, but she couldn't figure out what everyone kept screaming about. We're glad she won't be going to high
school for a while! :)

ain't got no teeth...

Sonnet makes this funny face where she smooshes her lips together and rubs her gums. She's been doing it all the time. We think it's pretty funny. So far, no teeth in sight...

5 month birthday!

Sonnet is 5 months old today! I can't believe how fast the time has gone. She gets smarter and cuter everyday. She is so fun to have around and she just seems to be learning so much! She's always trying to grab things (and taste them!) and she loves to look around and make funny faces at stuff. She still cracks up any time we put her in front of a mirror and she laughs at daddy every night before bed. She also seems to love looking at other babies. She smiles at all the other little people she sees at church or when we're out and about. It's so fun to see her personality grow everyday. She's still a night owl, going to bed late (around midnight) like her mama and sleeping in until about 9am. Not your average baby. She's had a few tastes of rice cereal (her first solid food) and she seemed to like it. She had lots of fun blowing bubbles with it and spiting it all over the place. :) She did manage to swallow quite a bit too! She can roll over like it's nothing and she's starting to scoot all over the floor. She's always been very active and she loves attention! She's doesn't really like to suck on binky's, but she does have a thing for her polka dot burp rags. Apparently they taste pretty good. :) Odd. She's getting close to sitting up by herself and she's always babbling on about something that i can tell is extremely important. Maybe someday soon we'll be able to decipher some words! Until then, we're just trying to enjoy all the little moments.

I can suck my thumb!

Don't worry, I've got a good hold on 'em!

Sonnet has figured out how to suck her thumb. We call her the bulimic baby because she sticks her fingers so far into her mouth that sometimes she gags and upchucks her milk! :) Yuck! And she's become aware of her hands and feet. She's always holding onto her toes, like she's afraid they're going to fall off if she doesn't grab them. :)

Sonnet and Daddy!

Nate is a great daddy! Sonnet gets so excited when he comes home. She loves playing with him and going for walks with him!
