Random Photos (from January).

New "boney" jammies.

Bowling with the Spears crew. Stetson is still obsessed!

Sonnet and cousin Gabi. They're a month apart.

It snowed at our house! It didn't stick, but it was pretty coming down!

And then we had to go inside and get warm!

Popcorn and movie night!

A hike on a nice sunny day.

Stetson loves to do jobs around the house. :)

Stetson loves to play hockey in the street. He calls it "honkey!"

Playing together...

Sonnet had to get a cavity filled at the dentist. She hated it!

Sonnet has been getting really good on her roller blades, but she's still nervous to go all the way down our driveway so Stetson gives her a lift. :)

We ride bikes every single day. It's Stetson's favorite thing to do.

Sonnet wanted some fake glasses. Cute little nerd.

Stetson loves the book "Blueberries for Sal." He found this metal pail at Target and asked me if I would buy it and get some blueberries and then he could "kerplunk" the blueberries into his pail and eat them like Little Sal. It's pretty adorable.

Vacation.

Nate took the kids to my uncle's cabin in Utah this weekend. They had a ball playing in the snow, building snow men, sledding, 4-wheeling, and watching movies. I was a little nervous to spend my first night away from Stetson (yes, he's almost 3 years old!), but I quickly adjusted to sleeping in, eating popcorn for dinner, and singing show tunes in the shower. I quite enjoy being alone and it was so restful to spend some quiet time in my home. I'm grateful Nate took the kids to do something fun and that we all ended up back together in one piece. :)

Disneyland!

We went to California for our family vacation. We left Thursday and headed straight for the beach. A couple years ago we found this awesome little spot in Newport that's not too crowded and we always find a super close parking spot with time left on the meter. We walk about 50 yards, set up our chairs, and just let the kids run wild. It's heavenly. We spent a few hours there until the kids got nice and filthy and then we went in search of our hotel...

We checked in, took a shower, and then went to Downtown Disney for some dinner and shopping.

Friday morning, we got up and went straight to Disneyland. We spent all day riding rides and eating churros and the kids had a blast! Sonnet loved Splash Mountain the most. Stetson thought that one was a little too fast. He loved driving his own car at Autotopia. We went on that one 3 times. :)

We got to ride everything we wanted to ride and we stayed at the park until about 10pm. We didn't take a stroller. We knew Stetson wouldn't sit in it or sleep in it anyway, so we just packed some stuff in a backpack and carried that around all day. Stetson finally tuckered out at about 6pm. He fell asleep in my dad's arms for about an hour, but otherwise, he went strong all day. He was tall enough for all the rides except the roller coasters, which he wouldn't have wanted to do anyway. While Sonnet and the gang went on Thunder Mountain and Indiana Jones, Stetson and I just did something else. Other than that, we all stayed together all day. I was worried that Disneyland would be hard with a really little kid, but it wasn't and both kids really enjoyed everything.

On Saturday, we got up and went to California Adventure Park. We spent a lot of time at Cars Land because Stetson loves Cars. He got to see Mater and Lightening McQueen and Red the fire truck and he was so excited he hardly knew what to do with himself. It was pretty cute.

Turns out he was about a half inch too short for the big Cars ride and they would not let him on so that was pretty sad. It was the only ride in either park that he wanted to do, but couldn't. But, there were some bumper cars nearby that he could ride and he loved those just as much.

We saw lots of really cute shows, including the new Frozen sing-along show that Sonnet loved, and ate lots of food and had a super fun day. We took Sonnet on Tower of Terror and she totally freaked out. Other than that, the trip was a complete success. :)

I love having my family all together. It was super nice to hang out with Hayden and Kaitlin. My kids just think they're the coolest. On the last night in the hotel, Hayden was wrestling with the kids on the bed and flying them around on a pillow like a magic carpet and they were just squealing and giggling like crazy. Stetson said "Dis is da funnest ting I ever done!" Apparently Disneyland has nothing on Uncle Hay. :)
