Oktoberfest with Pat Green

We went to the Dallas Oktoberfest at Flag Pole Hill to see Pat Green playing in concert.  It was been over 20 years since Tim and I saw him play!  This time we are watching with the girls who also know his music!

Between the four of us, we ate brats, chicken tenders, a soft pretzel and pizza!

Pat Green was dressed for the occasion in lederhosen.  It was a good show, we just think the sound quality could have been a little better.

We had a fun night!

Mineola HS Class of 1996

Tim's 30th high school reunion from Mineola was held this evening at class alum and friend Jason's barbecue restaurant, CowBurners!

Tim got very spiffed up in a handsome ensemble including a new sport coat and boots!

The 1996 version of Tim

The guys wanted to create a picture to honor and remember Troy, a beloved classmate they lost in 2018.

Thank you to Jason and Holly for hosting the reunion in their restaurant.

Always lots of laughter when we get together!

It was so good to catch up with everybody for this occasion.  So many milestones from the last decade and many more to come in the next ten years until we meet up again!

Komen Walk

Komen has contributed to a 44% decline in the breast cancer mortality rate in the U.S. since 1989 due to the improvements in early detection and effective treatments.

So grateful to be walking with my daughters and parents this morning!  And so grateful for the statistic above!

Shenandoah National Park/Liberty: Day 3

We devoted spending this day at the Shenandoah National Park.  Another National Park for our bucket list!

Driving the Blue Ridge Parkway was absolutely beautiful!

Notice the clouds at the ridge line.

We hiked!

The park was beautiful, it was uncrowded, showed vibrant fall foliage, and it was perfect weather to see the Blue Ridge Mountains!

We stopped at an Amish market on the way back and Lana picked out a colorful mini gourd as a souvenir!

We were hungry after our day of exploring, so we decided to go here to have a little bit of everything we might be craving.  It wasn't the best meal, but it wasn't the worst...!!!

At sunset, we found ourselves back on campus and taking in the view from Freedom Tower.

If Lana was on campus, she would spend a lot of time in this building.

We also sat in the library for a bit.

We love the lights of the campus at night!

What a wonderful day it was!  And this was such a memorable experience we had together; so grateful for this opportunity!  Time to fly home tomorrow!
