A lot of emotions come to mind when I think of what life is like amid this pandemic. So many buzz words like social distancing, flatten the curve, CDC, WHO, herd immunity, quarantine, isolation, PPE, novel coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, N95 masks, etc.
In between the news reports, county updates, and school announcements we are remaining rooted in our faith. We hold fast to the promise that God is here, He has never left our side. We have hope and despite being social distanced we are not living in neutral, we are not idling or paralyzed. We enjoy the splendor of the spring days, the laughter of each other and our friends and family by phone. We still treasure mealtime as an end to the day where we gather together fully present with each other. We work hard around the house and with schoolwork. Tim serves the Dallas community with the same, if not more, dedication. We still hold on to future plans this summer and fall with hope and optimism as well as with practical realism. We are still living life out loud!
We continue to pray and express gratitude for all essential front line workers. We are grateful for the health of our family, friends, coworkers and neighbors.
"Having positive emotions doesn't mean negativity isn't there, but being positive allows us to move through trauma with a little more grace and balance."
