Lydia's Birthday Wish

 For Lydia's birthday two weeks ago, she wished to go ice skating.  We made good on that wish today since we were out of school for teacher in-service and we figured it wouldn't be very crowded.  We were right!  She had the ice mostly to herself.  Her first time to ever ice skate and she took off like a pro!  Since she roller blades, she transferred her skills and balance and it just came naturally.  Lana and I alternated between watching her skate and then walking around a few shops at the Galleria.  I must confess, Lydia ice skated for nearly 3 hours!  

We also went into the "American Girl Doll Store" as the girls have called it since they were 3 years old!  We have to take some traditional pictures for old times sake!

We had a very fun day!!

Easter Sunday

 Happy Easter!

The bunny left sweet treats in the girls Easter baskets that they have been using since they were born!

We enjoyed our traditional Easter brunch with Maw and Paw Paw.  It was a celebration of being together, feasting and rejoicing in the meaning of the day.

Easter Church

 We attended our Easter church service this evening.  The message and music were very powerful!  Jesus is alive and is our Savior!

Lydia's 13th Birthday

 Happy 13th Birthday to Lydia Grace!

It is also Good Friday, so she is home from school!

The obvious favorite gift was a giant Squishmallow!

In between eating all of her favorite foods, bike riding and roller blading, we also looked at her baby book as a stroll down memory lane.  Thank you to everyone who sent cards, gifts and well wishes on text.  She is blessed with all of you in her life.

We love this girl so much!  She is a wonderful daughter, sister, granddaughter, great granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend!  We will watch as her journey into the teen years begins!  

Track Star

 Lydia had her first track meet this evening.  Her coach put her in the 100M.  She didn't place, but her legs ran super fast!
