In addition to cartoons like Sophia the First and Lalaloopsy, the girls have loved watching shows to learn new things!  These have been of particular interest with them lately:

Last Ponytail Express Game

 Lana's softball season came to a close tonight.  She had Maw and Paw Paw cheering her on!  It worked, because she had a great hit at bat!

 

 

Lana enjoyed playing and really improved her hitting and fielding as the season went on.  It was a great group of girls, coaches and parents.  She also loved the fact that Coach Tim was there to help and encourage!

Yay for PTE!

Pre-K Graduation

 Lydia's end of Pre-K started Tuesday and officially ended today.  On Tuesday, I wanted to take a picture of her last time in chapel.  She has loved all the songs and messages she hears in there each week.  

 The "big slide" is a rite of passage when you are done with Pre-K!  Lydia loved her first time going down!

They had their graduation and picture slide show in the classroom.  They performed their letter/sounds song with the motions.  Not sure why Lydia's motion is different from the others on the first picture! 

Lydia always seems to get the giggles easily these days! 

She received her diploma and the Pop Rocks award (see a few pictures below).

Summer Fun Bucket

The last day of school was today and since we already did awards, it was a fun play day with ice cream sundaes!

Each morning on the way to school, Lydia and I always pass by this pasture with two beautiful brown horses.  Today, I stopped for a picture.  Lydia loved seeing them each time and it was always a peaceful moment in our morning.  I will miss seeing them with her next year.  

After school it was celebration time!  Popsicles and running in the spray!

Such a great year for Lydia and looking forward to Kindergarten (with mixed emotions for Mommy, it's bittersweet)!  Ready for Lana to be out of school so we can officially kick off summer!

Kiddie Pool

 The kiddie pool has made its first appearance of the year!  Even though legs are longer and space becomes more limited each year, the girls still find splashing in here as thrilling as can be!

Last T-Ball Game

The Captains finished their season this morning and received medals and cheers!  Lydia enjoyed her first year in T-Ball!

Also, this date in history:  10 years ago Tim proposed to me and it still stands as one of best days in my life!

T-Ball Party

This evening was Lydia's last T-Ball practice, so instead of practicing at the field, we had an end of the season party at the park.  The kids played and ate hot dogs, watermelon and baseball cupcakes.  Their last game is Saturday.  What a great way to end the season!

Donuts with Dad

Lydia was thrilled that this was the Donuts with Dad morning at school!  The two of them enjoyed a sweet breakfast and Lydia gave Daddy some very cute gifts that I will save to show on Father's Day next month.

 

Lydia sure is proud of her Daddy and loves him to bits and pieces!

Lydia's 5 Year Check-Up

This morning Lydia had her 5 year check-up.  She looked through books in the waiting room.

 

We had a great visit with her doctor.  Her vision and hearing were checked, as well as blood pressure.  Her vision is 20/25 with her left eye not as strong.  For now we don't need to see an optometrist, but we will monitor again in the fall.

 

Height: 43 3/4 inches (75th%)

Weight: 39.4 pounds (50th%)

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to my mom!  I love her so much!  She is a remarkable mother and I am so honored to be her daughter.

 

This Mother's Day morning started out with breakfast in bed and love notes from my two darlings.

 

 Lana presented me with a very thoughtful questionnaire.

The day was spent relaxing, walking a Nature Trail and ending with breakfast for dinner (my favorite meal any time of the day!). 

I was pampered, doted on and spoiled all day by Tim and the girls.  These moments are complete bliss.  I feel blessed beyond belief.

T-Ball Fans

Even though Lydia looks unenthused in this picture, she loved getting the chance to play catcher this morning in her T-Ball game.

 

And she was happy to have have Maw and Paw Paw in the crowd cheering her on!

Field Day

It was a great day for Field Day!  An overcast morning helped it stay cooler as we watched Lana rotate through oodles of fun activities!  I did not get pictures of everything, but here a few of the highlights!
