「#1803. Lord's Prayer」 ([2014-04-04-1]) に引き続き，時代別ヴァージョンで聖書の節を読み比べてみる．寺澤盾先生の『聖書でたどる英語の歴史』の第6章で「創世記」2:18--25 の箇所が，新共同訳，NRSV, KJ, Wycl, OEH の5ヴァージョン間で比較されている．これを基にして，2つの現代版聖書を追加し，全体として7ヴァージョンでの比較が可能となるように，パラレル・テキストを造ってみた．追加した2ヴァージョンは，平易な米口語訳で知られる Good News Translation （BibleGateway.com より）と，基礎語彙のみを用いた Basic English 版（The Holy Bible --- Bible in Basic English より）である．聖書の各版については，「#1709. 主要英訳聖書年表」 ([2013-12-31-1]) を参照されたい．
Gen. 2:18
| 新共同訳 | 主なる神は言われた．「人が独りでいるのは良くない．彼に合う助ける者を造ろう．」 |
